  • Publication number: 20150017560
Abstract: A functional module for a coolant circuit of a vehicle fuel cell system includes a container having an ion-exchange material and a pump device for the coolant fluidically coupled to each other in such a manner that a coolant inlet and a coolant outlet of the pump device are connected to a coolant outlet and a coolant inlet of the container. The container surrounds at least one region of the pump device that has a conveying unit of the pump device at least in certain areas around the outer circumference.

  • Publication number: 20140072894
Abstract: A coolant circuit (1) for a fuel cell system of a vehicle. Coolant (10) is able to flow through a coolant line (3) in the cooling operation, and an ion exchanger module (4) can be fluidically coupled with the coolant line (3). The coolant circuit (1) has at least one closing element (8), formed to close the coolant line (3). The closing of the same via the at least one closing element (8) is effected by an uncoupling of the ion exchanger module (4) from the at least one coolant line (3). Furthermore, the invention relates to a method to operate the coolant circuit (1).

  • Publication number: 20130224617
Abstract: A coolant circuit for a fuel cell system of a motor vehicle includes an ion exchanger material arranged in at least one component of the coolant circuit that is flowed through by coolant during the cooling operation. The ion exchanger material is fixed to an internal side of a wall of the at least one component. During an exchange of the ion exchanger material, the entire component is exchanged and replaced by a replacement component.

  • Publication number: 20130224619
Abstract: A coolant circuit for a fuel cell system of a motor vehicle includes an ion exchange module fluidically coupled to a component of the coolant circuit, which is flowed through by coolant during a cooling operation. The ion exchange module is fixed to an external wall of the component. A fastening element couples the ion exchange module fluidically to the component.

  • Publication number: 20120244449
Abstract: A container arrangement (1) for a fuel cell system with a coolant container (2) and a module (5) with an ion exchanger material (7) which can be incorporated via an introduction opening (4) into the coolant container (2). The module (5) has a protective shell (8), via which upon incorporation of the module (5) into the coolant container (2) the introduction opening (4) can be sealed with respect to an environment of the coolant container (2). A method for incorporating a module (5) comprising an ion exchanger medium (7) into a coolant container (2) for a fuel cell system is also disclosed. The protective shell (8) can be removed from the coolant container (2) after incorporation of the module (5).
