  • Patent number: 10801745
Abstract: A damper, damper kit and method are for installing a damper in a duct defining a gas conduit. The damper kit includes a first aperture closing unit engageable with at least one conduit wall and configured to close a first aperture when engaged therewith and including a shaft receiving section opened in the gas conduit. The damper kit has a second aperture closing unit engageable with the at least one conduit wall and including a shaft receiving section opened in the gas conduit. The damper kit includes a damper having at least one shaft with a first section insertable in the shaft receiving section of the first aperture closing unit and a second section insertable in the shaft receiving section of the second aperture closing unit and extending past the at least one conduit wall through the second aperture closing unit.

  • Publication number: 20190368747
Abstract: A method and system for degreasing a kitchen ventilation system includes determining degreasing setpoint(s) for a degreasing time interval, injecting degreasing agent within the kitchen ventilation system during the degreasing time interval and operating subsystem(s) of the kitchen ventilation system in accordance with the degreasing set point(s). The method and system can also include sensing operating condition(s) within the kitchen ventilation system, determining degreasing parameter(s) based on the sensed operation(s) and injecting degreasing agent with the kitchen ventilation system according to the degreasing parameter(s). Operating condition(s) can also be tracked over time to schedule degreasing at a future time. Safe degreasing conditions can also be detected prior to any injection of the degreasing agent.

  • Publication number: 20150153056
Abstract: A control method is for controlling a variable-speed direct gas-fired air-handling unit of a heating, ventilation and air conditioning system. The method includes sensing a make-up temperature of the system and comparing the sensed make-up air temperature to a make-up air temperature setpoint. If the sensed make-up air temperature is above the make-up air temperature setpoint, increasing the minimum make-up airflow. If the sensed make-up air temperature is not above the temperature setpoint, decreasing the minimum make-up airflow. If a burner gas valve outflow and burner enabling signal are accessible, there may be selective variation of the gas valve outflow, the burner status and the minimum make-up airflow.
