  • Patent number: 10488843
Abstract: A method for checking positioning accuracy of a CNC machine with a machine tool head and a machine table using an x, y, z coordinate system, the method comprising: a) arranging a plurality of vessels on the table, the vessels in fluid connection with each other to form a system of vessels, the vessels filled with a liquid, b) mounting a distance sensor to the tool head, c) positioning the tool head to a position above the surface of the liquid in one of the vessels, d) a determining the z coordinate for which the distance sensor touches the surface of the liquid, or, for a predetermined position of the tool head in z direction above the liquid, determining the distance between the distance sensor and the liquid; steps c) and d) are repeated for each vessel to determine a z coordinate of the surface of the liquid.

  • Patent number: 9317029
Abstract: A numerically controlled machine tool, and method for control thereof, to display virtual two-dimensional future positions to be adopted by a workpiece and by the machine tool in a pre-set predictive time window. The system and method calculate target coordinate values defining positions of the tool along axes of the machine tool on the basis of a machining program. While machining is in progress, a processor receives the calculated target coordinate values to generate and display image data on the basis of the target coordinate values and of stored mathematical models of the machine, of the workpiece, and of the tool.

  • Patent number: 5377420
Abstract: A feeler device comprises a support structure in which a movable assembly is movably mounted along three axes, the movable assembly carrying at one end a feeler member. The movable assembly is suspended in the support structure by means of laminar elements which have respective slots of spiral, preferably logarithmic, form.

  • Patent number: 5119568
Abstract: The device comprises a support structure movable along at least a first reference axis, a feeler member carried by the structure so as to be able to effect limited relative displacements along the axis relative to a predetermined rest position, and detector means for providing electrical signals indicative of the magnitude and direction of the movements of the feeler member relative to the structure. According to the invention, the feeler device comprises at least a first intermediate structure supported by the structure by first blades which can be bent in a plane parallel to the reference axis; the feeler member is also supported by this intermediate structure by second blades having bending characteristics substantially the same as those of the first blades in a plane parallel to the references axis. The feeler device may be made so as to be able to detect movements of the feeler member relative to the support structure along two or three independent axes as well.

  • Patent number: 4275900
Abstract: A fluid suspension unit for motorcycles, particularly off-road motorcycles for cross-country sporting competitions and the like, usable both for the front wheel and the rear wheel of the motorcycle and comprising a pair of hydraulic shock absorbers, a pair of valves connected to each of said hydraulic shock absorbers for adjusting the working strokes thereof, and a compensation tank divided by an elastically deformable membrane into an uncompressed air chamber and a fluid chamber communicating with the closed hydraulic fluid circuit including said shock absorbers and said valves. This fluid suspension unit affords the advantage over conventional fluid suspension units having independent shock absorbers that the load is equally distributed on both sides of the supported motorcycle wheel and that the rate of elasticity of the shock absorbers can be adjusted at any time by the motorcyclist without having to dismount from the motorcycle.
