Abstract: A counting device that can be employed in calculating the number of objects, such as cigarette packs. In particular, the counting device can include a handle portion and a counting portion. The handle portion includes a display for showing the number of objects counted. The counting portion includes means for delineating the boundaries of the objects being counted and means for counting the objects that overlaps or abuts to the delineating means. Further, the counting device includes a control for turning the device on or off, and for clearing previous counting steps.
