  • Patent number: 6698164
Abstract: The method entails unwinding portion of film stored in roll form. The film is made of a heat-sealable single- or multilayer flexible material. The flaps for the unwound portion are folded until they are side by side or overlapped along a narrow band. The resulting new lateral edges are folded further so as to form longitudinal accordion-like portions and the bottom is then formed with a transverse heat-sealed portion which is produced simultaneously with a median cut relative to the heat-sealed portion, successively separating two pairs of adjacent containers. The heat-sealed bottom is inserted into the container by an extent which is equal to half the width of the lateral accordion-like portion and a longitudinal heat-sealed portion is then produced in the region where the flaps lie side by side and/or overlap, blocking the bottom and the accordion-like portion, simultaneously with a complete or partial cutting of the longitudinal heat-sealed portion.

  • Publication number: 20020191872
Abstract: A pouch-like container with faces made of materials having different consistencies and/or characteristics, particularly for solid, granular or fluid products. Conveniently, one of the two faces is produced from a scarcely flexible sheet, while the other face is produced from a much lighter and preferably transparent sheet in order to show the contained product. The low-flexibility face has ribs to preset a deformability and set the final shape that the container will assume. The container is manufactured by coupling, along longitudinal lines (lateral borders) and transverse lines, two sheets which are unwound continuously from two rolls. The tougher sheet is pre-ribbed along lines which force a controlled deformation, forming the container when it is filled with the product.

  • Patent number: 6428456
Abstract: An apparatus for forming containers with reinforced edges, comprising: a roll for feeding a flexible film; a forming collar upstream of a first tube around which the film is wrapped; a device for heat-sealing the longitudinal flaps of the film wrapped around the tube so as to form an enclosure, wherein the first tube tapers into a second tube and at the tapering region there is provided at least one insertion element which acts at right angles to the surface of the film, so as to form at least one rib which is directed toward the inside of the enclosure, and further comprising a sealing device for at least partially heat-sealing the at least one rib.

  • Publication number: 20020100256
Abstract: A method for obtaining dimensionally structurally stable objects, in particular disposable containers, from a flexible film rewindable on a reel, comprising the steps of preparing a flexible film rewindable on a reel, which, at least in those regions which in the obtained object are required to be substantially rigid, is associated with a structurally transformable substance inert with respect to the film and at least one passive activator therefore, forming an object from the film prepared in this manner, and during any one stage in a formation of the object, administering an energy compatible with the activator to start a structural transformation reaction of the substance and convert the regions from flexible to substantially rigid.

  • Patent number: 6409386
Abstract: A container for liquids or fluid products, including viscous ones, made by folding and heat-sealing a single sheet of flexible material. The single sheet is folded so as to form two mutually opposite quadrangular faces directly heat-sealed along two consecutive sides, while the third side of each one of the two faces is connected by an accordion-like portion which forms a substantially triangular base for the container and a fourth side has an additional accordion-like portion which forms a closure wall. The container has a filling opening on one of the two first sides or on the corner where they converge.

  • Patent number: 6142328
Abstract: A decorative unit structure composed of a first decorative unit and a second decorative unit separably combined with each other is diclosded. The center of the bottom of the first decorative unit is formed with a central extension post. Two sides of the bottom of the second decorative unit are formed with two extension posts spaced from each other by a certain distance. A bight bottom edge is defined between the two extension posts. When combining the first decorative unit with the second decorative unit, the central extension post of the first decorative unit is extended into the space between the two extension posts of the second decorative unit to form an inter-engaged structure having three supporting points which enable the first and second decorative units to be stably rested on a plane face. After combined, the first and second decorative units define therebetween a receiving room for a decorative article to rest therein.
