Abstract: A window comprising a first sash, and a second sash movable relative to one another, and a window lock mounted on one of the sashes. The window lock includes a housing having an inner wall adjacent one sash and an outer wall. A block is fixed on the inner surface of the outer wall. A plunger is slidable in openings in the inner and outer walls and block. The opening in the inner and outer walls are circular. The opening in the block includes radial portions and the plunger has a radial projection conforming generally to the radial projection of the opening in the block. The other sash has an opening adapted to be engaged by the plunger such that when the plunger is in engagement with the opening in the other sash the other end of said plunger is spaced from the outer surface of the other wall. A knob is releasably engageable with the outer end of the plunger for engaging the plunger and moving it axially to unlock the sashes. A spring yieldingly urges the plunger toward the opening in the other sash.

Abstract: A lock for sliding doors including a first door and a second door slidable with respect to a second door. The lock is mounted on the second door and has a housing engaging the side surface of the frame of said second door. The housing has an inner wall adjacent the frame of the first door, an outer wall and an intermediate wall between the inner and outer walls. A plunger is slidable in openings in the outer, intermediate and inner walls. Spring means yieldingly urge the plunger outwardly. The opening in the outer wall has a noncircular configuration, the opening in said intermediate wall has a similar configuration but circumferentially oriented with respect to the opening in said outer wall, and the shaft has a laterally extending projection corresponding to the configuration of the openings in said inner and outer wall.

Abstract: A sliding door comprising a first door, a second door mounted for sliding movement relative to the first door, and a lock assembly mounted on the second door. The lock assembly comprises a housing having an inner wall and an outer wall and side walls. The housing is mounted on the second door with the one side wall engaging the frame of the second door, the inner wall has an opening therein and a plunger is movable through the opening. The first door has at least one opening therein engageable by the plunger. The plunger is rotatably mounted within the housing for movement axially and rotatably. An annular surface is provided concentrically with the plunger and is movable therewith. A cam is supported within the housing for movement into and out of engagement with the annular surface such that when the cam is moved into engagement with the annular surface, the plunger is moved axially through the outer wall into the opening in the front door.
