  • Patent number: 7349480
Abstract: A method and system for multiline transmission in communications systems are described. A transmitter (1102) performs MIMO pre-processing (1104) on symbol vectors. A signal vector associated with the symbol vector is transmitted. A receiver (1106) performs MIMO post-processing (1108) on the received signal vectors to minimize the effects of crosstalk on pairs of lines in the multiline communications system.

  • Publication number: 20070167843
Abstract: A system and method for monitoring respiration including sensing a signal that varies with respiration, deriving a respiration parameter, applying criteria for detecting a respiration disturbance and determining one or more respiratory disturbance metrics. The system preferably includes an implantable sensor with an associated implantable medical device such that chronic respiration monitoring is possible. The implantable medical device may execute methods for detecting and measuring respiratory disturbances or may store data to be transferred to an external device for detecting and measuring respiratory disturbances. Respiratory disturbance detection may trigger a responsive action such as physiological data storage, a change in therapy delivery, or a clinician warning. Assessment of cardiac function may be made based on metrics of respiratory disturbances or a measure of circulatory delay time following detection of a respiratory disturbance.

  • Patent number: 7241941
Abstract: The invention overcomes the deficiencies of the prior art by providing plants of soybean variety 0137335, which exhibits high seed protein and protein plus oil in combination with high yield. The invention also provides derivatives and plant parts of these plants. Further provided by the invention are methods for the use of the plant. The invention is significant in that oil and protein are important agronomic characteristics, but the value of these traits is diminished or eliminated when coupled with decreased yield.

  • Patent number: 7155301
Abstract: A method and system are disclosed for creating dynamic models of etch processes in semiconductor manufacturing. In one embodiment, a method comprises modeling an etch process used in semiconductor manufacturing to generate a dynamic process model. The dynamic process model is used to determine input values that result in a desired output value. A process recipe is optimized for the etch process with the input values.

  • Publication number: 20060109779
Abstract: A method and system are disclosed for improving the performance of a multiline transmission system by using one or more split-pair receivers in a multiline communications system to identify crosstalk on a pair of transceivers coupled to the split pair receivers, wherein each split pair receiver receives a signal including the crosstalk from each transceiver and provides a corresponding signal vector to a post processing unit, and performing MIMO post-processing on signal vectors received at a receiver from each transceiver and each split-pair receiver while minimizing crosstalk on pairs of lines in the multiline communications system with a frequency equalizer.
