  • Publication number: 20230179575
Abstract: A router node comprises a link discovery module, a security module, a secure access module and storage. The link discovery module discovers a link to an adjacent router node and receives its first loopback address. The link discovery module creates a first tunnel between the security module in the router node and the first loopback address. The security module receives a second loopback address for the second router node, and creates a second tunnel. The security module repeats the discovering, receiving and creating steps for each router node adjacent to the first router node. The storage separately stores a link discovery routing table which comprises information relating to the links between the router node and each adjacent router note; a security routing table which stores the unique first loopback address; and a secure access routing table which stores the unique second loopback address.

  • Publication number: 20230132754
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for interactive editing of virtual three-dimensional scenes. In the disclosed techniques, rendering is divided into (1) an interactive phase during which a user interactively edits a virtual scene while preview image frames are rendered using a modified ray tracing technique, and (2) a refinement phase during which full ray tracing is performed to show the user a final rendered image frame. The modified ray tracing technique may limit the number of bounces of light rays and/or the computations performed at each bounce, thereby reducing computational expense relative to a full ray tracing technique. Further, the modified ray tracing technique may be user-selectable and associated with a particular department within an animation studio.

  • Patent number: 11540568
Abstract: Various embodiments described herein illustrate a glove that includes an anterior portion and a posterior portion. The anterior portion is knitted seamlessly with the posterior portion to define a metacarpal region and a plurality of finger regions extending out from the metacarpal region. A first conductive pad is knitted on the anterior portion of the glove. The first conductive pad is knitted on a distal end portion of a first finger region. A second conductive pad knitted on the posterior portion of the glove. Further, the second conductive pad is knitted on a second finger region. An electronic device is removably attached to the posterior portion and is in electrical communication with the first conductive pad and the second conductive pad. The electronic device is triggered in an instance in which the first conductive pad contacts the second conductive pad.

  • Patent number: 11490988
Abstract: Embodiments described herein provide systems and methods for protecting doctors and others from pathogenic microorganisms aerosolized during surgical and other procedures on patients. The systems and methods generally operate by forming a partially-enclosed chamber around the patient's face during the procedure. A facial adapter and facial shield isolate a portion of the patient's face from the surrounding environment. The partially-enclosed chamber is connected to a vacuum source that brings the pathogenic particles through a filter, which further decreases the number of pathogenic particles expelled into the environment.

  • Patent number: 11479924
Abstract: A millable, recyclable, paving fabric interlayer system for the construction and repair of roadways and other load-bearing surfaces and method of using such a fabric is disclosed. The paving fabric includes thermoplastic materials and is combined with asphalt cement to provide a flexible, stress relieving, waterproofing layer for roadways. Because of the thickness and asphalt cement absorption of the fabric, the system provides a stress absorbing interlayer to resist fatigue and reflective cracking in pavements. The system also acts as an effective moisture barrier due to the enhanced capability to retain sufficient asphalt cement when paved onto a roadway. Such a system has the required strength and elongation to be installed on smooth or milled surfaces yet is easily milled and recycled owing to the uniquely engineered tensile and tear strengths of the fabric.

  • Publication number: 20220316691
Abstract: A light fixture connection assembly includes an internally threaded stem and two connectors that couple with a top surface and a bottom surface of a light fixture shade. Bores throughout the stem and connectors define a passageway for electrical wiring connected to a light sourced within the light fixture shade. The connection assembly reduces water-leakage into the hollow passage, and prevents electrical hazards and premature termination of the useable life of the light fixture.
