  • Publication number: 20130091659
Abstract: A vacuum cleaner includes an intake tube through which air is passed. An airflow deflector is disposed in the intake tube. A deflection surface of the airflow deflector is disposed at an obtuse angle with respect to a longitudinal axis of the intake tube passing through the deflection surface. The airflow deflector improves airflow from the intake tube into the vacuum bag, thereby improving the effectiveness of the vacuum cleaner.

  • Publication number: 20120304415
Abstract: A vacuum bag attachment assembly for a vacuum cleaner includes a locking handle movably connected to the vacuum cleaner and movable between first and second positions. An opening in the handle receives a fitting of a vacuum bag. When the locking handle is in the first position, an outer shell of the vacuum cleaner is prevented from closing. When the locking handle is in the second position, the outer shell of the vacuum cleaner is closable.

  • Publication number: 20120152280
Abstract: A touch sensitive display displays status of operation and controlling operation of a surface cleaner. The touch sensitive display is connected to the surface cleaner and interfaces with a logic processor disposed in the surface cleaner. The logic processor receives information from the touch sensitive display, various sensors on and within the vacuum cleaner, and variable inputs. The logic processor outputs information to the touch sensitive display, and controls various functions and components of the surface cleaner. The information displayed on the touch sensitive display may be determined at least in part by the architecture of the logic processor and the touch sensitive display. The information displayed on the touch sensitive display can be varied among different surface cleaner systems and can depend upon the operational state of an individual surface cleaner. The logic processor can transmit information wirelessly over the internet to a remote station accessible by the user.
