  • Publication number: 20240139072
Abstract: A bottle assembly includes a container, a collar assembly, and a vent insert. The collar assembly includes a collar and a nipple. The vent insert is configured for selective placement on an open top of the container. The vent insert, when placed on the open top of the container, defines a gap for allowing liquid in the liquid chamber of the container to flow towards the nipple and a vent passage having at least one vent opening in flow communication with the liquid chamber for allowing air to flow into the liquid chamber. The vent insert further defines an annular gap forming a portion of the vent passage. The bottle assembly is selectively operable in two different configurations, a first configuration in which the vent insert is placed on the open top of the container and a second configuration in which the vent insert is omitted.

  • Publication number: 20210228449
Abstract: A bottle assembly includes a container having an open end, a closed end, a base portion, and a neck together defining a liquid chamber within the container. The neck has a rim defining the open end of the container. The bottle assembly also includes a collar assembly generally defining a closure for the container. The collar assembly is configured for releasable engagement with the neck of the container over the open end thereof. The collar assembly includes a collar and a nipple. The bottle assembly further includes a cap including a closed end, an open end, and a side wall extending between the closed end and the open end together defining an interior. The cap is configured for releasable engagement with the collar assembly such that the nipple is received within the interior of the cap. In some embodiments, the bottle assembly includes a vent assembly positionable at least in part on the rim of the container to permit venting of the container during use.

  • Patent number: 10383795
Abstract: A feeding assembly generally comprises a container having an open top and defining a liquid chamber therein for holding a liquid. A collar assembly defines a closure for the open top of the container upon assembly with the container. The collar assembly includes a collar releasably securable to the container and a nipple coupled to the collar and having an opening through which liquid exits the feeding assembly during feeding. A vent assembly is positionable at least in part on the open top of the container and is configured to facilitate venting of the container to atmosphere as liquid exits the feeding assembly during feeding. The vent assembly is disposed intermediate the container and the nipple and has a vent tube through which air is able to flow from external of the feeding assembly to the container during feeding.

  • Patent number: 10002678
Abstract: Disclosed is a clinical diagnostic analyzer employing a redundant error detection capability to further examine the internal message traffic for possible errors or questionable results by comparing the actual parameters against a fingerprint generated for each assay using an assay database and a configuration file. This testing does not rely on inputs from the software module being tested, and hence is an independent test. Further, a testing mechanism is provided to test the Redundant Error Detection (“RED”) capability itself.
