  • Publication number: 20070123829
Abstract: A medication injector apparatus such as an injection pen. The injection pen includes a resettable, cartridge plunger drive assembly including an axially floating nut, a cartridge plunger engaging screw, and a drive clutch movable with the nut and which when rotated causes the screw to screw through the nut. When a cartridge assembly is mounted to the pen base, the floating nut and drive clutch are shifted proximally such that the drive clutch is in torque transmitting engagement with a rotatable drive member of the pen, such that rotation of that drive member results in drive screw advancement through the nut in the distal direction. When the cartridge assembly is not mounted to the pen base, the floating nut and drive clutch are biased distally to disengage the drive clutch from torque transmitting engagement with the rotatable drive member and to thereby allow the drive screw to be reset proximally through the nut to a position more retracted within the pen base.

  • Publication number: 20060038097
Abstract: An examination table having a side rail and mounting assembly for attaching a hand control to the table. The hand control has a key-hole shaped slot in its bottom wall which receives a stud projecting from a resilient clamp engaging the table rail. The stud is loosely received in the slot, which allows the hand control to remain substantially vertically oriented as the table and rail are moved through different positions.

  • Publication number: 20050172404
Abstract: A foot control for controlling power-driven functions of a medical apparatus which positions a patient in a variety of examination and treatment positions. The foot control includes a membrane switch and a flexible keypad overlying the membrane switch. The flexible keypad is configured to actuate switch elements of the membrane switch in response to selective pressure applied on the keypad by a user's foot. Different configurations of keypads are interchangeable on the foot control to change the control functionality of the foot control while the membrane switch remains unchanged.
