  • Patent number: 6679128
Abstract: One aspect of the present invention is a system of fabricating a barrier wall between the testing and tester volumes of an environmental test chamber. This aspect may use a plurality of pallets adapted to receive a device under test and a testing apparatus, a framework adapted to receive a plurality of pallets, and a plurality of insulation bricks associated with the plurality of pallets. The insulation bricks may be adapted such that they can cooperate to form an insulating barrier between the device under test and the testing apparatus.

  • Patent number: 6456460
Abstract: A read while write dual bump tape head for increasing allowable linear and areal bit density comprises first and second thin-film inductive write heads. The first thin film, inductive write head has a first top pole and a first shared pole. The first shared pole is patterned such that it has a width at a tape bearing surface of the dual bump tape head narrower than a width of the first top pole at the tape bearing surface. The second thin-film inductive head has a second top pole and a second shared pole. The second shared pole is patterned such that it has a width at the tape bearing surface narrower than a width of the second top pole at the tape bearing surface.

  • Patent number: 6233117
Abstract: A magnetic disc drive includes a magnetic disc having a surface for storing information. The disc drive includes a drive chassis which forms an electrical ground. A head assembly reads and write information on the disc surface. An armature extends across the disc surface and positions the head assembly over the disc surface. A gimbal assembly at the end of the armature couples to the head assembly. Electrically conductive metal paths extend between the head assembly and the gimbal assembly, thereby coupling the head assembly to electrical ground.

  • Patent number: 5146450
Abstract: Disclosed is a method and apparatus for attaching a bearing cartridge to an actuator arm assembly in a disk drive. The bearing cartridge includes the actuator shaft, an outer sleeve and a set of bearings. The actuator arm assembly has a bore therein which receives the bearing cartridge. The bearing cartridge is anchored to the actuator arm assembly at a single location.
