  • Publication number: 20100151421
Abstract: A dental implant includes a first member (100) having a proximal end (102) and a distal end (104) and extends along a longitudinal axis (62). The proximal end (102) has an axial end surface (103). The first member (102) is formed from a first material. A second member (70) is integrally formed with the first member (100) and is adapted to receive a dental prosthesis (150). The second member (70) engages the entire proximal end surface (103) of the first member (100). The second member (70) intersects the axis (62) of the first member (100) at the proximal end surface (103) to prevent access to the proximal end surface (103) of the first member (100) through the second member (70). The second member (70) is formed from a polymer that is different from the first material of the first member (100).

  • Publication number: 20070088419
Abstract: A pad assembly according to the invention is used for mounting a current generator for applying a therapeutic electrical current to an area of human skin. Such an assembly includes a pad comprising a thin, flexible, stretchable plastic film that conforms to human skin, which pad has electrical paths printed on an underside thereof with electrically conductive ink. Each of the paths include a terminal and a conductive contact for connection to a current generator. A pair of layers of an electrically conductive adhesive such as a hydrogel are disposed over the terminals at spaced positions for conducting electrical current to human skin underlying the terminals. A fixture secured to the pad is configured for mounting the current generator a manner effective to conduct current from the current generator to the terminals of the pad.

  • Patent number: 4499764
Abstract: A modular oscillating piston-type fluid meter including a plurality of three or more oscillating piston measuring modules in stacked relationship to each other, each of the measuring modules having a piston operatively connected for synchronous, conjoint rotation with the pistons of adjacent measuring modules. The measuring modules are substantially identical to each other and include a body portion which defines a cylindrical chamber. Outlet and inlet ports communicate with the cylindrical chamber. Fluid is supplied to the ports by internal or external manifolding conduits.
