  • Patent number: 5412006
Abstract: The present invention relates to an electrorheological gel comprising a curable silicone polymer, electrorheologically active particles, and a metal catalyst. The composition can further comprise an organohydrogensilicon crosslinking agent, and/or an inhibitor. The dynamic mechanical properties of the filled gel can be tuned with an electric field such that large changes in storage modulus can be achieved.
