  • Publication number: 20240058156
Abstract: A positioning wedge is arranged as an interface between two anatomical portions of a human body to arrange the anatomical two portions at a predetermined angle or position relative to one another. The positioning wedge includes a main body having first and second sides connected to another by a bridge portion such that the first and second sides each define a predetermined angular profile. An insert can be arranged between the first and second sides to position the first and second sides relative to one another at a predetermined angle associated with the shape of the insert combined with the first and second sides. The insert is separable from, and attachable to the main body and the bridge portion extends over an end portion of the insert.

  • Publication number: 20220401248
Abstract: A cervical collar having an anterior component including a main support, an intermediate support pivotally connecting to the main support at a rear portion of the anterior component, and forming a frontal opening with the main support. An adjustment mechanism connects the main support to the intermediate support and locks a position of the intermediate support relative to the main support at a front portion of anterior component. The adjustment mechanism has an actuator for disengaging the main support from the intermediate support at the front portion and permits the intermediate support to pivot relative to the main support at the rear portion to vary a height of the frontal opening. A posterior component of the cervical collar is adapted to provide improved anterior-posterior and lateral occipital support.

  • Patent number: 11273067
Abstract: An orthopedic device is arranged for scapulothoracic stabilization, inclusive of features for biomechanical stabilization of the shoulder, scapula and spine, treated alone or in combination with assembly features for supporting an arm or shoulder. The orthopedic device may be arranged in a garment or shoulder harness such that either may include first and second strap systems for extending over first and second shoulders of a user, respectively, and each of the first and second strap systems forms a “Figure 9” shape about the respective shoulder, with a strap section arranged to extend toward a waist stabilizer that may form part of the orthopedic device.
