The configuration of the viewing window may be based on a characteristic of the medical information to be displayed.

The method may include receiving an indication of an availability of the patient to participate in the video conference with the clinician, where the indication is based on detecting a proximity of the patient to a video conference device. The method may also determine an availability of the clinician to participate in the video conference with the patient. The method may further include initiating the video conference between the patient and the clinician, via the video conference device, based on the received indication of the availability of the patient and the determined availability of the clinician.
