  • Publication number: 20110191852
Abstract: A system to create a virtual clone of a production system for the purpose of executing security services without risk to the original production system. The service host makes a copy of the dedicated memory and physical storage of the virtual target, and then uses that data to initiate a clone in an isolated virtual environment within the service host. Once the target system has been cloned, security services can be performed on the clone without any risk to the target system, and provide an accurate reflection of the security state of the target system.

  • Publication number: 20110131647
Abstract: A virtual endpoint solution to provides secure connectivity between a service provider network and the client network over the public Internet. This virtual private network (VPN) connection is fully routable from the service provider network to the client network and masqueraded on the client network to prevent any IP conflicts or routing issues. The virtualized endpoint allows for the VPN connection to be created without dedicated hardware or systems and able to run in almost any environment.

  • Publication number: 20070176323
Abstract: Tools for manufacturing composite parts and methods for using such tools are disclosed herein. A method in accordance with one aspect of the invention includes manufacturing a fiber-reinforced resin part from a plurality of fibers positioned on a tool having a female mold surface. The mold surface can include a first side region, a second side region, an interior region between the first and second side regions, and transition regions between the first and second side regions and the interior region. The method includes positioning a compaction tool over the mold surface. The compaction tool includes a first pressing device and a second pressing device carrying the first pressing device. The method further includes pressing a first portion of the fibers against the transition regions with the first pressing device without generally compacting the portions of the fibers outboard of the transition regions.

  • Publication number: 20050194771
Abstract: An airbag inflator diffusion system having a thin profile is disclosed. The diffusion system includes an airbag inflator that is inserted into a sleeve. The sleeve has overlapping longitudinal edges positioned so that the sleeve tightly circumscribes the inflator. Engagement tabs are formed in one longitudinal edge of the sleeve and fold through perforations formed adjacent the other longitudinal edge. Upon activation of the inflator, the sleeve expands radially forming an exhaust passage through which exhaust gas may travel. The folded engagement tabs and their corresponding perforations limit the radial expansion of the sleeve.
