  • Publication number: 20240134320
Abstract: An asset management system helps ensure the safety of technicians performing maintenance on electrical power generation assets. The system includes an electronic device operated by a technician. Prior to performing maintenance on a power generation asset, the technician utilizes the electronic device to scan an identification marker on the asset. The electronic device then retrieves, from an asset database, status data regarding the safety status of the asset. The electronic device displays the status data to the technician.

  • Publication number: 20230237999
Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices of a voice-directed inspection system that supports multiple inspectors in the inspection of business assets are described. Inspection plans for large and complex business assets can involve several steps. It is advantageous to split large inspection plans into non-overlapping sections to allow multiple inspectors to perform concurrent inspections. Such sectionalizing is also useful in training new inspectors.

  • Patent number: 11425801
Abstract: A lift plug for lifting a graphite electrode includes a main body and an insert coupled to one end of the main body, with the insert configured to mate with a graphite electrode to secure the lift plug to the graphite electrode. The lift plug also includes a lifting component coupled to the main body opposite the insert to lift the graphite electrode. The insert comprises a non-graphite material with a coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) similar to graphite, such that the lift plug expands at a similar rate as the graphite electrode when heated so as to prevent locking at a joint between the lift plug and the graphite electrode.

  • Publication number: 20090202302
Abstract: A method of forming a trench drain including a step of positioning a plurality of form members including a first form member and a second form member, each having at least one set of openings arranged in a generally vertical manner. The sets of openings include a first opening, a second opening and a third opening. There is a vertical distance from the first opening to the second opening that is substantially equal to a vertical distance from the second opening to the third opening. The first form member is substantially parallel with the second form member. The set of openings of the first member are aligned with the set of openings of the second form member. An opening in the first form member and a corresponding opening in the second form member are selected dependent upon a predetermined slope for the trench drain thereby defining a selected opening in each of the first and second form members. The first form member is connected with the second form member by way of a cross member.
