  • Patent number: 5053266
Abstract: A roof tile construction includes a ventilation tile having pliable portions provided by a membrane of PVC (polyvinyl chloride) which is readily deformable to complement the shapes and configurations of adjacent roof tiles, whereby gaps between the headlap, side-lock and tail portions of tiles immediately adjacent the ventilation tile are substantially closed. The ventilation tile also includes a rigid body portion for supporting the membrane, the body portion being generally of planar configuration and being provided with adapter means for accommodating ventilation means such as a ventilation cap, or a soil pipe. The membrane is also of generally planar configuration and includes a headlap portion, oppositely disposed side-lock portions and a tail portion which extends beyond the rigid body portion.

  • Patent number: 4874380
Abstract: A releasable catheter retaining device is mounted on a pad of medical grade skin adhesive material. The device has a flange with a central hole, and a post extends from a surface of the flange opposite to the pad. An elongated tab extends from the post, there being a slot in the post for receiving the free end of the tab. With this arrangement, the tab can be passed through the slot after encircling a catheter which extends through the hole, in order to grip the catheter and to retain it in position.

  • Patent number: 4731963
Abstract: Verge unit is a symmetrical tapered channel converging toward one end and diverging toward another end. The unit 1 has two frangible portions which are disposed inwardly at the divergent end the removal of one of which portions allows the unit to be converted into a right hand or a left hand unit for use on a right hand or left hand verge of a roof. The units are placed over the free ends of tiles on a verge so that each divergent end of a unit is overlapped by a convergent end of an adjacent unit, thus providing a stepped line following the line of overlapping tiles along the upper edge of the verge and a straight line running along the lower edge. Verge units may be used for covering the free ends of tiles on tiled roofs to provide an aesthetically pleasing finish to the verge ends of tiled roofs and to prevent the ingress of rain and snow between the tiles.
