  • Patent number: 8225902
Abstract: In a propulsion unit having a hydrostatic drive, a pair of pedals 14 are clamped to the axle 12 in such a manner as to be comfortably positioned for the feet of the operator. The angular position of each pedal 14 relative to the axle 12 may be adjusted such that the two pedals 14 may have different angular orientations if desired. One pedal 14 may be comfortably positioned for directing forward motion of the vehicle while the other may be more comfortable for reverse motion. Set screws 16 are accessed through holes 14a in pedals 14 from above.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 11, 2008
Date of Patent: July 24, 2012
    Assignee: Graco Minnesota Inc.
Inventors: Mark M. Kiviahde, James C. Schroeder, Harold D. Johnson

  • Publication number: 20110194952
Abstract: A propulsion unit 10, used to propel a line striper, is provided with a gasoline engine 12 which may have either a pull/recoil or an electrical starter. Engine 12 is connected via a centrifugal clutch 14 of a known type to a hydraulic pump 16 which includes a hydrostatic drive unit 18. In the preferred embodiment, the clutch 14 is designed to engage between the cranking speed and the idle speed.

  • Publication number: 20110139556
Abstract: A foot-operated parking brake eliminates the need for hand disengagement. A J-bar element 14 pivots to engage pegs 20 against the tires 22 of the propulsion unit 10. The J-bar 14 has a pivotable pedal assembly 24 mounted thereon which may releasably engage a latch plate 30 mounted on the frame 12. The operator may release the brake by pressing the lower portion of the pedal 26 with his or her heel.

  • Patent number: 7774922
Abstract: A method for manufacturing disk drive head suspension components includes supporting the components from carrier strips and/or other components by tab regions consisting substantially of a polyimide insulating layer. The components are detabbed by severing the insulating layer at the tab regions.

  • Patent number: 7606002
Abstract: A disk drive head suspension, including a load beam formed from one or more layers of material, and a flexure mounted to the load beam. The load beam has an offset aperture and stiffening rails, and is characterized by a Z-height dimension between the one or more layers of material and the free end edges of the stiffening rails. The flexure has a slider-receiving region extending at least partially through the offset aperture and located within the Z-height dimension of the load beam. A load point structure is provided on the load beam and/or the flexure for restraining movement of the slider receiving region and for permitting slider-receiving region to pivot in under aerodynamic forces.

  • Patent number: 7518830
Abstract: A flexure for attachment to a load beam in an integrated lead disk drive suspension assembly. The flexure includes a spring metal layer having slider mounting region, a first surface and a second surface opposing the first surface. A first group of conductive leads extends along at least a portion of the first surface and is separated from the spring metal layer by a first dielectric layer. A second group of conductive leads extends along at least a portion of the second surface and is separated from the spring metal layer by a second dielectric layer. A conductive interconnection extends between a conductive lead from the first group of conductive leads and a conductive lead from the second group of conductive leads. One or more leads from each of the first and second groups of conductive leads can be attached to a magnetic head.
