  • Publication number: 20080179061
Abstract: A system, apparatus and method for abrasive jet fluid cutting. An abrasive jet fluid cutting nozzle assembly comprises a hose 49 for receiving an abrasive jet cutting fluid; a helix/spring 40 rotatably attached inside the high pressure hose 49; and a nozzle 46 connected to the hose 49. The helix/spring 40 is tapered such that the turn ratio of the helix 40 varies from the proximate end to the distal end. The rotation of the helix 40 creates a vortex and increases the pressure of an abrasive jet cutting fluid as it passes from the proximate end to the distal end. The disclosed subject matter further includes a system and method for using the abrasive jet fluid cutting nozzle assembly.

  • Patent number: 7019229
Abstract: A door interlock assembly is for a draw-out circuit breaker assembly. A draw-out circuit breaker is housed within an enclosure including a door and includes a poleshaft operable between first and second positions corresponding to separable contacts being opened and closed, respectively. The door interlock assembly includes a pivot member coupled to the poleshaft and a door latch interconnected to the pivot member by a linkage, such as a threaded drive rod. The door latch pivots such that a first end thereof engages and locks the door of the enclosure when the poleshaft moves to the second position. An optional mechanical sensor assembly adapted to trip the circuit breaker when the door is positioned in any position other than closed, is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20060042922
Abstract: A locking assembly is for the trip bar of a circuit breaker. A pivotal trip lever is coupled to the trip bar, in order to move therewith. The locking assembly includes: a locking mechanism, such as a commercially available key lock, with a pivotal element; a mounting plate, which receives the key lock and secures it to the circuit breaker; an extension member coupled to the pivotal element; and a flexible linkage interconnecting the pivotal trip lever and the extension member. The key lock has locked and unlocked positions corresponding to the trip bar of the circuit breaker being locked and unlocked, respectively. The flexible linkage is interchangeable or universally employable with a variety of commercially available locks, in order to lock the trip component of a wide variety of electrical switching apparatus.
