Patent number: 10645025Abstract: Techniques to facilitate enhanced addressing of local and network resources from a computing system are provided herein. In one implementation, a method of operating an object-based memory management unit on a computing system to unify addressing of local and network resources includes maintaining a mapping of virtual addresses to local addresses and network addresses, and identifying resource requests that use the virtual addresses. The method further provides handling the resource requests per the mapping, and wherein a given request of the resource requests implicates a network resource, accessing the network resource associated with the given request over at least the network.Type: GrantFiled: June 9, 2016Date of Patent: May 5, 2020Assignee: COLORTOKENS, INC.Inventors: Mark Medovich, Rajesh Parekh, Bharat Sastri

Patent number: 10572393Abstract: Techniques to facilitate enhanced addressing of local and network resources from a computing system are provided herein. In one implementation, a method of configuring an object memory management unit (OMMU) for a computing system includes transferring a request to at least one network configuration resource for OMMU configuration information, and receiving the OMMU configuration information from the at least one network resource. The method further comprises, based on the OMMU configuration information, generating a mapping of virtual addresses in the computing system to local addresses that address local resource of the computing system and network addresses that address network resources external to the computing system over at least a network.Type: GrantFiled: May 25, 2016Date of Patent: February 25, 2020Assignee: COLORTOKENS, INC.Inventors: Mark Medovich, Rajesh Parekh, Bharat Sastri

Patent number: 5300724Abstract: A method for modelling time variant signals and multiple tone generating apparatus for a real time controllable, time variant waveform synthesizer. Speech or musical tone generation is accomplished by storing a DSQ (Demodulated Segment Quantization) codebook representation of a time variant signal. A DSQ codebook is a parametric representation of a time variant signal, wherein a signal's parameters are a time variant amplitude data sequence, a time variant pitch (advance/delay operator) data sequence, and a data sequence corresponding to a set of invariant waveshapes and their corresponding duration values. A signal is reconstructed by concatenating periodic segments of finite duration and, scaling its amplitude via a time variant amplitude data sequence and altering pitch or harmonic content via a time variant pitch data sequence. A plurality of unique DSQ codebooks and tone generators are assigned to a plurality of key actuations for multi-timbral operation.Type: GrantFiled: December 15, 1992Date of Patent: April 5, 1994Inventor: Mark Medovich
