Publication number: 20240145906Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure are related to digital display devices and base stations such as small cell base stations, which may include at least one antenna and a radio. More specifically, digital display devices are being increasingly deployed in airports, along roads and highways, in shopping malls, in rural or highly urban areas where additional cellular coverage is desirable. These digital display devices provide desirable mounting locations for cellular equipment because they are already powered. One or more components of the base station may be concealed from view by a concealment device to satisfy aesthetic or design requirements. In some aspects, this concealment device may be a fabric radome. In some aspects, the concealment device may be the digital display device itself, because the digital display device is dimensioned such that at least some components of the base station may be hidden behind or within the digital display device.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 2, 2023Publication date: May 2, 2024Inventors: Walter Mark Hendrix, Julian R. Publication number: 20230359167Abstract: To improve utilization of materials and reduce wastage, there is provided a method for managing remnant materials from a manufacturing process. A digital remnant image of a remnant is obtained and processed to calculate size and shape data for the remnant. A CAD file of the remnant comprising the size and shape data can be created and stored. Remnant CAD files may be searchable so that subsequent design and manufacturing process may make use of the remnants. The remnants may be tagged with an ID, e.g. barcode, that allows the storage location of the remnant to be tracked for retrieval of the remnant when required.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 3, 2023Publication date: November 9, 2023Inventors: Brenden Morton, Mark Mendez

Publication number: 20230146386Abstract: A system for building layout includes a moveable marking device that can be placed on vertical batter boards and remotely controlled into a position on the batter board to indicate the height of a top of a building foundation. The moveable marking device may also be placed on horizontal batter boards and remotely controlled into a position to indicate a position on the horizontal batter board where an extension of a building edge intersects the horizontal batter board. The moveable marking device may also be placed on foundation form boards and remotely controlled to indicate a position on the form board that relates to the location of a feature in the building.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 8, 2022Publication date: May 11, 2023Inventors: Brenden Morton, Mark Mendez, Ross Huber, Chad Ziesemer

Patent number: 11392919Abstract: A device may receive transaction data associated with a plurality of merchants. The transaction data may include a first set of transactions and, for each transaction included in the first set of transactions: data identifying a merchant and a method of payment. The device may identify, from the first set of transactions, a second set of transactions associated with a credit account method of payment from the first set of transactions. The device may train, based on the first set of transactions and the second set of transactions, a merchant model. The merchant model may be trained to: receive, as input, data identifying the merchant, and produce, as output, a measure of likelihood that the merchant accepts the credit account method of payment. The device may perform an action based on the merchant model.Type: GrantFiled: October 23, 2019Date of Patent: July 19, 2022Assignee: Capital One Services, LLCInventors: Heather Ramos, Shankar Chithambarana, Mark Mendez

Publication number: 20210182958Abstract: The disclosed embodiments include methods and systems for switching electronic accounts using self-service device. The account switch system may receive, from the self-service device, a request to switch an existing electronic account associated with a first provider to a new electronic account associated with a second provider. The account switch system may also receive, from the self-service device, information associated with the existing electronic account. The account switch system may generate the new electronic account associated with the second financial service provider and transfer data, such as funds, associated with the existing electronic account to the new electronic account. The account switch system may send information associated with the new electronic account to the self-service device, and the self-service device may provide a new account card associated with the individual and the new electronic account to the individual that is ready for use.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 25, 2021Publication date: June 17, 2021Applicant: Capital One Services, LLCInventors: Mark Mendez, Adam R.
