  • Patent number: 11129530
Abstract: An eye tracking system having circuitry configured to perform a method is disclosed. An estimated radius (r) from an eyeball center to a pupil center in an eye is obtained, and an estimated eyeball center position (e) in the eye in relation to an image sensor for capturing images of the eye is determined, and an image of the eye captured by means of the image sensor, and a position of a representation of the pupil center in the eye in the obtained image is identified. An estimated pupil center position (p?) is then determined based on the estimated eyeball center position (e), the estimated radius (r), and the identified position of the representation of the pupil center in the obtained image.

  • Patent number: 11115693
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods for performing efficient video transmission are disclosed. In a video processing system, a transmitter sends encoded pixel data to a receiver. The receiver stores the encoded pixel data in a buffer at an input data rate. A decoder of the receiver reads the pixel data from the buffer at an output data rate. Each of a transmitter and the receiver maintains a respective synchronization counter. When detecting a start of a frame, each of the transmitter and the receiver stores a respective frame start count as a copy of a current value of the respective synchronization counter. The transmitter sends its frame start count to the receiver. The receiver determines a difference between the respective frame start counts, and adjusts the decoding rate based on the difference.

  • Patent number: 11103788
Abstract: A matchmaking system matches players for online gaming, when some of the players may be streaming players and other players may be non-streaming players. The streaming players, due to receiving content of the online game via computer networks from a streaming system, may experience a relatively greater network latency for game events relative to non-streaming players. When matching streaming players and non-streaming players for online game play, the relative competitive disadvantage for streaming players due to network latency may be compensated. Additionally, streaming players using input devices that may be more difficult to use and/or may be less responsive during game play, such as a touch screen, may also have their input device disadvantage compensated during matchmaking.

  • Patent number: 11071909
Abstract: A system and method optimizes game quality by matching players for an online game to one of several virtual games. This matching process may involve filtering the players who wish to play according to various constraint minimizing criteria, packing the players into one or more virtual games to optimize game quality factors of the virtual games, and then instantiating the virtual games to actual online games played by the players. The game packing process may be iterative and may involve adding a new player into a virtual game. Game quality factor (GQF) values prior to and after the placement of the new player in the virtual game may be compared. The comparison of the GQF values may be used, at least in part to determine whether the new player is to remain in the virtual game. Various criteria may be considered in instantiating a virtual game.

  • Patent number: 11059648
Abstract: A cushion package can be formed around an object. The object can be removed from and reinserted into the cushion package. The cushion package includes a cushion material (104) having a longitudinal length and two longitudinal edges (110). The two longitudinal edges (110) of the cushion material are folded into an overlapping position to form a tube of the cushion material. The cushion package includes first and second transverse seals (148,150) in the tube of the cushion material. The first and second transverse seals (148,150) respectively form first and second ends of the cushion package. Each of the first transverse seal and the second transverse seal (148,150) seals the cushion material with the two longitudinal edges (110) in the overlapping position. The two longitudinal edges (110) of the cushion material are uncoupled between the first transverse seal and the second transverse seal (148,150).
