  • Publication number: 20220348891
Abstract: The present invention provides novel engineered reverse transcriptase enzymes that afford beneficial improvements in thermal stability, processivity, cDNA yields and elimination of secondary enzymatic activity. The present invention also provides methods for amplifying template nucleic acids using such reverse transcriptase enzymes. This invention addresses deficiencies in the current state of the art reverse transcriptase enzymes in RNA detection and analysis including deficiencies in detection sensitivity, specificity, side enzyme activities, enzyme stability and synthesis capacity, especially when using template nucleic acids ranging in length, secondary structure and nucleotide content.

  • Publication number: 20220055283
Abstract: The invention relates to a film installation and a method for producing a film web, in particular a cast film installation or smoothing calender installation, having: a machine direction in which the film web is conveyed through the film installation; a roll apparatus which processes a film material melt and comprises at least one film-producing roll and a film-producing gap having temperature control apparatuses for thermally treating the film web; and a stretching apparatus for stretching the film web, wherein the stretching apparatus is situated downstream of the at least one film-producing roll in the machine direction, circumventing a critical cooling section. The invention further relates to the use of a roll apparatus which processes film material melt.

  • Publication number: 20190340720
Abstract: Various arrangements are presented for providing a physical action plan. A physical grid may be created that includes rows and columns that define cells. The columns may include a first column indicative of a plurality of initiatives. The columns of the grid may include a second column indicative of a ranking of the initiatives. On the physical grid, project tasks for at least some cells may be defined. Project cards may be created. Each project card may be attachable to and removable from the physical grid. Each project card may be sized to match a size of a cell size of the plurality of cells. Each project card may indicate a different project task. The project cards may be attached to the physical grid such that each project card is attached to and overlays a cell of the physical grid. The project task of the project card and the underlying project task of the cell match to insure traceability of each project assignment.

  • Patent number: 8616528
Abstract: Hydraulic powered assemblies 10 and 110 are disclosed. The assembly 10 includes a support unit 12, a hydraulic motor 14, and a driven member 16 that is integral with the hydraulic motor 14. The hydraulic motor 14 includes a power group 32 that includes six gerotor power units 34a-34f. Each gerotor power unit 34a-34f includes an inner rotor 40 that is fixed to a stationary through-shaft 24 and an outer rotor 42 that is mounted for hypocycloidal movement relative to the inner rotor 40. The driven member 16 includes segments 51 that support the outer rotors 40 within the segments 51. The segments 51 carry a winch cable receiving member 60 when the assembly 10 is used as a winch. The hydraulic powered assembly 110 is an alternative embodiment that includes two power groups 131 and 132. The power groups 131 and 133 may be symmetrical or asymmetrical.

  • Publication number: 20120171547
Abstract: The present subject matter relates generally to methods and apparatus for printed batteries using non-aqueous electrolyte and battery packaging. Various embodiments of the present subject matter include an all printed carbon and zinc battery having a lower substrate, a cathode current collector printed on the lower substrate, and a cathode printed on the cathode current collector. In various embodiments, an anode is printed on the lower substrate adjacent the cathode, a non-aqueous electrolyte is printed over the anode and the cathode, and a top substrate is laminated to the electrolyte. Other aspects and embodiments are provided herein.

  • Patent number: 6467135
Abstract: A security for a compartmented structure including at least one zippered compartment includes a two-slide zipper. The pulls are configured to interlock one another and to expose a security slot when engaged. Affixing a security product to the security when the pulls are interlocked maintains the zippered compartment closed and secured. The security product preferentially includes a cable to secure the security product to an object other than the compartmented structure when affixed to the security slot to prevent unauthorized movement of the compartmented structure.
