Patent number: 10675776Abstract: A fastener delivery system for transporting and dispensing fasteners comprises a source of pressurized air, a dispenser configured for dispensing each of the fasteners into a workpiece, a first pathway providing a first passageway for the fasteners to pass through, and a second pathway providing a second passageway for the fasteners to pass through. Each of the first pathway and the second pathway is placed in selective fluid communication with the source of pressurized air to blow one of the fasteners disposed in the first pathway or the second pathway towards the dispenser. The dispenser includes a toggle feature for alternatingly receiving the fasteners from each of the first pathway and the second pathway. Each of the pathways includes an air brake mechanism for decelerating each of the fasteners as each of the fasteners approaches the dispenser.Type: GrantFiled: June 6, 2018Date of Patent: June 9, 2020Assignee: ALLIANCE AUTOMATION, LLCInventors: Chet Wenninger, Karl Klopfenstein, Josh Foltz, Jason Daniels, Mark Seiler

Patent number: 7536748Abstract: A gooseneck hinge assembly for a closure of a vehicle includes a body side strap adapted to be connected to a vehicle body of the vehicle and a closure side strap having a gooseneck shape adapted to be connected to a closure for closing an aperture in the vehicle body. The gooseneck hinge assembly also includes a pivot pin to pivotally connect the closure side strap to the body side strap to allow rotational movement therebetween. The gooseneck hinge assembly further includes a spring interconnecting the body side strap and the closure side strap to counterbalance a weight of the closure when opening and closing the aperture.Type: GrantFiled: April 13, 2005Date of Patent: May 26, 2009Assignee: General Motors CorporationInventors: David T. Publication number: 20070086593Abstract: Access to digital data is controlled by encrypting the data in such a manner that, in a single digital data acquisition step, it can be decrypted only at a specified location, within a specific time frame, and with a secret key. Data encrypted in such a manner is said to be geo-encrypted. This geo-encryption process comprises a method in which plaintext data is first encrypted using a data encrypting key that is generated at the time of encryption. The data encrypting key is then encrypted (or locked) using a key encrypting key and information derived from the location of the intended receiver. The encrypted data encrypting key is then transmitted to the receiver along with the ciphertext data. The receiver both must be at the correct location and must have a copy of the corresponding key decrypting key in order to derive the location information and decrypt the data encrypting key. After the data encrypting key is decrypted (or unlocked), it is used to decrypt the ciphertext.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 20, 2006Publication date: April 19, 2007Inventors: Dorothy Denning, Barry Glick, Ronald Karpf, Mark Seiler

Publication number: 20070030972Abstract: A method and apparatus for controlling access to digital information utilizes a location identity attribute that defines a specific geographic location. The location identity attribute is associated with the digital information such that the digital information can be accessed only at the specific geographic location. The location identity attribute further includes a location value and a proximity value. The location value corresponds to a location of an intended recipient appliance of the digital information, and may be further defined in terms of latitude, longitude and altitude dimensions. The digital information is encrypted using a geolocking key based at least in part on the location identity attribute. The geolocking key is based on a shape parameter that is determined from the location identity attribute and is included with the encrypted digital information. The shape parameter describes a shape of a geographic area, but does not identify where the geographic area is located.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 10, 2006Publication date: February 8, 2007Inventors: Barry Glick, Ronald Karpf, Mark Seiler
