  • Publication number: 20160366502
Abstract: A detachable audio system with an interface plate mounted on a head strap, and a mounting plate assembly removably attachable to the interface plate with a portion of the strap between the plates to provide independent electrical and mechanical connections between the plates. The mounting plate assembly connects to an earbud assembly via a flexible audio cable. The mounting plate assembly has a threaded attachment member that mates with a threaded attachment member on the interface plate. A pair of electrical connectors on opposing sides of the threaded attachment member protrude from spaced apart cylindrical bosses, such that when the mounting plate is attached to the interlace plate, independent mechanical and electrical connections are provided for detachable retention and operation of the earbud assembly.

  • Patent number: 9277791
Abstract: A band clasp comprises a ratchet assembly at a first end of a band, the ratchet assembly including a plate having a rim that defines an aperture that extends along a length of the first end, the ratchet assembly further including a track that extends along the length of the first end beneath the plate, the track having a first side and a second side, the first side including a first plurality of teeth opposing a second plurality of teeth of the second side. The band clasp further comprises a pawl assembly disposed at a second end of the band opposite the first end, the pawl assembly including opposing pawls having an outward bias, the opposing pawls configured to engage the rim and opposing teeth of the track through the aperture to fasten the first end of the band to the second end of the band.

  • Publication number: 20150342525
Abstract: A wearable electronic device includes a composite band, a touch-sensor display, a skin sensor, and a course of electrical conductors. The composite band forms a loop having two or more rigid segments and a flexible segment coupled between the rigid segments. The touch-sensor display is arranged in a first of the rigid segments, and a skin sensor is arranged in a second of the rigid segments. The course of electrical conductors runs between the first and second rigid segments, inside the flexible segment.

  • Patent number: 8294671
Abstract: A peripheral device includes at least one active or trigger element housed in a cartridge that is removably mounted. A user can easily remove the cartridge with the active or trigger elements without using special tools. In some embodiments, the peripheral device can include a leveling member between a detection switch and a triggering interface to facilitate effective actuation of the triggering interface and activation of the detection switch from regions spaced from the detection switch. Some embodiments can include silencing or dampening features or structures to minimize or substantially eliminate sound generated upon activation of the triggering interface.
