  • Patent number: 9682706
Abstract: A method for controlling the speed of vehicle is provided. The method comprises providing a memory device configured to store a plurality of predefined set-speeds therein. The method further comprises selecting a desired set-speed from the plurality of predefined set-speeds stored in the memory device. The method may further comprise determining whether the selected set-speed is appropriate based on one or more conditions. The method may still further comprise causing the vehicle to operate in accordance with the selected set-speed when it is determined that the set-speed is appropriate. A system comprising a memory device configured to store a plurality of predefined set-speeds, and electronic control unit configured to select a desired one of the predefined set-speeds stored in the memory is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20070121013
Abstract: An apparatus comprising one or more delay circuits, a shimmer detector circuit, an averaging circuit, and a multiplexer. The delay circuits may be configured to have a delay of one or more frame periods based on the format of the input video signal. The shimmer detector circuit may be configured to (i) determine which pixel locations in the input video signal exhibit the YC-interference noise oscillation pattern based on the input signal and the output of the delay circuits and (ii) generate a control signal in response to the output of the delays circuits and the input signal. The averaging circuit may be configured to calculate an average of the input signal and the output of the first delay circuit. The multiplexer may be configured to present (i) the input signal when the control signal is in a first state and (ii) the average signal when the control signal is in a second state.

  • Publication number: 20050230465
Abstract: A container body with a container opening and a flap partially secured to the container body and completely covering the container opening is disclosed. The flap is secured to the container by a hinge or fold line and formed from the same substrate as the container body. The container body contains a first magnetic region adjacent to and surrounding the perimeter of the container opening. The flap contains a second magnetic region aligned with and opposite the container body's first magnetic region. The first and second magnetic regions are magnetically attracted to each other. The flap is held in a closed position by magnetic attraction between the flap's magnetic region and the container body's magnetic region.

  • Publication number: 20050045571
Abstract: A display for supporting and displaying golf clubs is configured to support the golf clubs by their heads such that the club shaft is oriented downwardly. The display includes a support member and at least one cradle mounted to the support member. The cradle has first and second upwardly curving arcuate support arms separated from one another by a trough. Each of the support arms defines an uppermost portion with the trough between the support arms. The cradle is configured such that the support arms uppermost portions are non-linear relative to one another through the trough. The golf club is positioned in the cradle resting one the support arms and with the shaft extending downwardly from about the trough.
