  • Publication number: 20240045033
Abstract: Disclosed herein are system and method embodiments for projecting a stationary inverted image. For example, the system includes a lidar assembly with an array of detectors that are mounted relative to an axis. A mirror is mounted for rotation about the axis at a first speed with a front surface aligned to intersect the axis to reflect light along the axis and form a reflected image. A prism is mounted for rotation about the axis at a second speed that is less than the first speed, wherein the prism is disposed between the mirror and the array of detectors and configured to receive the reflected image and to project a stationary inverted image onto the array of detectors.

  • Publication number: 20140338220
Abstract: A footbed for supporting a person's foot is formed with one or more voids which removes support beneath either at least part of the heel which is lateral to the midline of the heel and which does not extend medially of the midline, or beneath the medial process of the tuber calcanei, or a combination of the two. Such voids stabilise those parts of the heel which functionally form an abutment to support the medial and lateral longitudinal arches of the foot, in order to prevent pronation.

  • Patent number: 8171349
Abstract: A virtual machine is migrated from a source physical machine to a target physical machine, where the virtual machine has an executable service and a monitoring agent for monitoring the executable service. In response to the migrating, a monitoring manager is started that issues a command to start the executable service. It is determined whether the command is for the executable service that is already running in the migrated virtual machine. In response to such determining, the started monitoring manager is associated with the already running executable service, where the monitoring manager cooperates with the monitoring agent to detect fault of the executable service.
