  • Patent number: 11498252
Abstract: A method for producing a well or a well strip made of plastic, as used in the pharmaceutical industry in microtiter systems is presented. The wells typically have undercuts and the well strips are connected to each other by connecting ribs. In order to produce a well with a larger undercut height or a well strip with higher connecting ribs, as the case may be, the method provides that the plastic, which is initially still liquid, is pressed through a portion of a runner which is arranged in a slider and out of the slider into a cavity of an injection mold.

  • Patent number: 11439331
Abstract: A device for making available sample carriers includes a tube with a receiving chamber for a plurality of sample carriers. The receiving chamber is delimited, at its front end, by a holding means for individualized release of the sample carriers and, at its rear end, by a plunger for exerting a force on the sample carriers. The holding means is elastic. To prevent a plurality of sample carriers being released at the same time from the tube, a plurality of fins are mounted on the plunger. The fins are mutually offset in the circumferential direction of the plunger. The offset arrangement of the fins has the effect that, under the action of the force, the plunger is pressed into the interior of the tube by in each case only a predefined ejection stroke. The ejection stroke is adapted to the length or the diameter of one of the sample carriers.

  • Publication number: 20220278949
Abstract: Disclosed are methods, systems, and non-transitory computer-readable medium for optimizing user experience with respect to sequences of electronic messages to drive user engagement. For example, a method may include determining a set of messages including at least a first message and a second message; transmitting the first and second messages as an initial message to a first plurality of devices and a second plurality of devices, respectively; determining a first and second performance indicator at least based on one or more responses to the first and second messages transmitted as the initial message, respectively; comparing the first performance indicator and the second performance indicator; and sorting a sequence of the set of messages based on the comparison of the first performance indicator to the second performance indicator.

  • Publication number: 20220202328
Abstract: A sealing cap seals a sample tube for receiving a liquid, in particular blood. The sealing cap includes a cavity delimited by a membrane and a base having an opening that can be sealed by a non-return valve. In order to reduce the volume of liquid which, during centrifugation of the sample tube sealed by the sealing cap, flows out of the sealing cap through the then open opening into the sample tube, the cavity of the sealing cap has a separating wall that divides the cavity into a first and a second sub-area. Only the second sub-area is above the opening, also meaning that only the volume of liquid in the second sub-area can flow into the sample tube.

  • Patent number: 11273440
Abstract: A separator separates a first from a second phase of a liquid in a tubular container. The separator has a float made of elastic material having a circumferential sealing edge and at least one ballast fastened to the underside of the float. The density of the ballast is greater than the density of the float and the density of the entire separator lies in a value range between the density of the first phase and the density of the second phase of the liquid. In order to securely prevent penetration of parts of the second phase of the liquid into the region above the separator within the tubular container, when the separator moves into the sealing position and is positioned there, the sealing edge of the float is formed at a predetermined distance greater than zero above the center of gravity of the entire separator.

  • Patent number: 11241685

The density of the ballast is greater than the density of the float and the density of the entire separator lies in a value range between the density of the first phase and the density of the second phase of the liquid. In order to ensure an unrestricted light inflow of the liquid into volume regions of the container lying below the separator in the initial position, the float is designed disk-shaped; and that the ballast is designed in the form of a plurality of fingers extending away from the underside of the disk-shaped float, distributed at its edge.

  • Publication number: 20210046402
Abstract: The invention relates to a separator for separating blood plasma and blood cells in a blood collection tube. The separator comprises a float with a first density and at least one passage opening. In addition to the float, the separator comprises a ballast with a second density that is greater than the first density. The total density of the separator, that is, the float and the ballast together, lies between the density of the plasma and the density of the cells in the blood. The float forms a valve together with the ballast. The float and the ballast are arranged so as to be movable relative to each other. In accordance with the invention, the ballast has at least one valve element for opening or closing a passage opening in the float.
