  • Patent number: 11847579
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for tailoring shareable content object reference model (SCORM)-compliant content to one or more users. A learning management system (LMS), configured to be SCORM-compliant, initiates shareable content object (SCO) to provide content to users. The LMS implements an instance of application programming interface (API) comprising a plurality of functions to be called by SCO during runtime to access data model elements accessible via LMS. The LMS is configured to support one or more data model elements undefined by SCORM. Further, LMS receives a call to a function of the plurality of functions of the API from SCO to access information about users. The call references a name of a data model element undefined by SCORM. The data model element identifies information about users. The LMS provides information about the users to SCO and the SCO tailors the content to the users based on the information.

  • Publication number: 20230392314
Abstract: A washing machine appliance and methods of operating a washing machine appliance are provided. The washing machine appliance includes a motor and a rotatable basket. The motor is operated to rotate the basket to a first speed. The basket is then decelerated from the first speed to a second speed less than the first speed. A deceleration time is determined while decelerating the basket from the first speed to the second speed. The method may include, or the washing machine appliance may be configured for, determining a size of a load of articles in the basket of the washing machine appliance based on the deceleration time. Based on the determined size of the load, one or more operating parameters of the washing machine appliance are selected and an operation of the washing machine appliance is performed according to the one or more selected operating parameters.

  • Patent number: 11835640
Abstract: An apparatus and method identify emitters. The apparatus includes a receiver, a parameter estimator, a database, and a correlator. The receiver receives an electromagnetic signal from an emitter and measures actual values of observed parameters of the electromagnetic signal. The parameter estimator surmises surmised values of unobserved parameters from the actual values of the observed parameters. The actual values of the observed parameters and the surmised values of the unobserved parameters characterize the emitter. The database stores one or more entries for each emitter. Each entry specifies an identifier of an emitter and exemplary values of the observed and unobserved parameters. The correlator matches the actual values of the observed parameters and the surmised values of the unobserved parameters with the exemplary values of one of the entries of the emitter from which the receiver receives the electromagnetic signal. The correlator outputs the identifier from this entry in the database.

  • Publication number: 20230385355
Abstract: An improved electronic procurement system is disclosed. The electronic procurement system (“system”) implements features such as real-time adaptive extraction of online data. The system is configured to manage a plurality of page types for webpages and for each page type a plurality of field types for fields in webpages. The system is configured to further generate a computer application that can be integrated into a web browser. For each page type, the computer application is programmed to initially generate a signature for each field type based on minimal user interaction with webpages of the page type. The system is configured to also generate an agent using the signature. The agent is programmed to automatically extract data corresponding to the field types from additional webpages of the page type using the signatures. The agent or an associated background process is programmed to automatically update the signatures when data extraction fails.

  • Publication number: 20230378656
Abstract: This document describes a single-layer air waveguide antenna integrated on a circuit board. The waveguide guides electromagnetic energy through channels filled with air. It is formed from a single layer of material, such as a sheet of metal, metal-coated plastic, or other material with conductive surfaces that is attached to a circuit board. A portion of a surface of the circuit board is configured as a floor of the channels filled with air. This floor is an electrical interface between the circuit board and the channels filled with air. The single layer of material is positioned atop this electrical interface to define walls and a ceiling of the channels filled with air. The single layer of material can be secured to the circuit board in various ways. The cost of integrating an air waveguide antenna on to a circuit board this way may be less expensive than other waveguide-manufacturing techniques.
