  • Publication number: 20070145140
Abstract: A barcode system includes an apparatus with a first subcomponent and a second subcomponent. The first subcomponent has a first barcode portion, and the second subcomponent has a second barcode portion. When the first subcomponent is correctly assembled with the second subcomponent, the first barcode portion is correctly aligned with the second barcode portion, such that a readable barcode is formed by the first and second barcode portions. The barcode system also includes a scanner for reading the readable barcode formed by the first and second barcode portions. The scanner may be connected to a display to display output from the scanner.

  • Publication number: 20060290122
Abstract: A side airbag assembly for protecting an occupant in a vehicle includes an airbag formed from a single fabric panel and a tether with a first end and a second end. The tether is integrally formed with the airbag from the same fabric panel. The first end of the tether is the integral joint between the airbag and tether. The second end of the tether connects to a component of a vehicle. The tether can be folded over and sewn together to fix the position of the tether relative to the airbag or the tether can be integrally woven to the airbag.

  • Publication number: 20060290120
Abstract: An airbag apparatus includes an airbag, an inflator, and an accumulator. The airbag is configured to be stored in a vehicle before inflation. The inflator is configured to provide gas for inflating the airbag. The accumulator is in fluid communication with the airbag and the inflator. The accumulator includes a chamber for at least temporarily storing gas after the inflator provides gas. The accumulator also includes a flow-control mechanism configured to permit gas to flow into the chamber at a first rate and to flow out of the chamber at a slower second rate.

  • Publication number: 20060237957
Abstract: A sealed cushion construction for an airbag for protecting the occupants of a vehicle during a collision. The construction may include at least two fabric panels that are connected by a seam that may be composed of an adhesive/sealant material. The seam may include sewing to reinforce the seam. Placement of the sewing within the boundaries of the seam may be designed to provide strength to the seam. The seam may have sewing along 100% of the length of the seam, less than 100% of the length of the seam, or not have any sewing along its length.
