  • Publication number: 20050037839
Abstract: A method of scoring a video wagering game is disclosed. The method includes placing a wager to participate in a video wagering game, and playing a first segment of the game. The first segment is played until a set of predetermined conditions has been met. A payout value is assigned to a winning outcome of the first segment. When the predetermined conditions have been met, the player plays a second segment of the game. The outcome of the second segment determines a factor that is at least equal to one. The payout value assigned to the first segment is multiplied by the factor to determine the game payout.

  • Publication number: 20050029744
Abstract: A casino-style wagering game is disclosed. The method includes the steps of placing a first multiple-part bet to participate in a first poker game against a pay table with predetermined winning outcomes and payout odds. Players may place an optional side bet to play a second poker-type game against a separate pay table, using a partial hand of cards dealt to each player. After the side bet game is resolved against the side bet pay table, additional cards are provided and the base game is then resolved against the base game pay table.

  • Patent number: 4008893
Abstract: A simulated bowling game includes solid state logic circuitry for simulating the position of a bowling ball as it is rolled down the alley, for determining the simulated disposition of the pins upon impact by the ball, and for computing the score of each player after each simulated roll of the ball. In order to imitate the roll of a ball, a player selects an initial ball position and an initial ball direction. Encoders provide signals which correspond to the selected initial ball position and direction, and a random number generator provides a spin factor signal. A horizontal displacement signal is computed from the ball direction signal and the spin factor signal and is added to the ball position signal to establish the horizontal ball position at successive vertical positions along the alley.
