  • Publication number: 20230322236
Abstract: A method performed by a vehicle pose assessment system for supporting determining a pose of a vehicle in view of a digital map. The approach provided by the method alleviates finding lane segments of the digital map corresponding to current sensor detections, which in turn may support accurate and/or improved vehicle localization. An apparatus and computer storage medium for supporting determining a pose of a vehicle in view of a digital map are also provided.

  • Patent number: 11776392
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods and arrangements for assigning a vehicle to a lane in a road for a vehicle. The proposed solution obtains an estimated pose for the vehicle, projects the pose to nearby lanes, obtains uncertainty values for the pose and lanes, creates a distribution by combining the pose and lane uncertainties, creates a momentary likelihood for the vehicle being in each lane, adjusts the momentary likelihoods with prior values obtained in a previous iteration, and determines the most likely lane.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 14, 2019
Date of Patent: October 3, 2023
    Assignee: Zenuity AB
Inventors: Viktor Runemalm, Markus Hammarsten, Jonatan Silvlin, Albin Manhof
