  • Patent number: 7484640
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for storing and providing stacked film pockets (10) filled with film-type or laminar materials (1). Said materials, e.g. lamellae (1), are individually packed in thin film pockets (10) which are embodied in the form of primary packaging. Said film pockets (10) are stacked in a form of so-called secondary packaging (30) in a gauged manner, the secondary packaging (30) being a lamella dispenser. Said dispenser is provided with a mechanism (61) by which means the individual film pockets (10) are directly released. During said process, the film pockets (10) are automatically opened and the individual lamellae (1) are administered for consumption. The present invention enables a device to be created for storing and providing stacked film-type or laminar materials (1), said device storing said stacked materials (1) from the first to the last withdrawal without any significant change in the aromatic properties of the materials.

  • Publication number: 20080230426
Abstract: The invention relates to a packaging unit comprising a container and hygroscopic or humidity softenable film-like materials. For this purpose, said film-like materials are stacked in the container and a separating material which is chemically inert and physically stable with respect thereto is arranged at time between said film-like materials. Each time, said separating material is brought into contact with two film-like materials and does not adheres or adheres less strongly to at least one film-like material that to the other film-like material. Said invention makes it possible to develop a packaging unit provided with a container which guarantees a reliable individual withdrawal of the hygroscopic film-like materials.

  • Publication number: 20080190809
Abstract: A package for flat, pliable objects, such as for wafer-shaped or film-shaped drug forms. The package has a carrier layer, a cover layer which is detachably connected to the carrier layer, and a first surface region wherein the carrier layer is not connected to the cover layer and is completely surrounded by a margin area. A cavity, enclosed on all sides, is formed for accommodating an object. The package has a second surface region wherein the carrier layer is not connected to the cover layer. At least one perforation line extends at least partially within the second surface region, and is provided both in the carrier layer and in the cover layer. Severing the perforation line forms a free edge of the cover layer which serves as a gripping aid and enables manual removal of the cover layer from the carrier layer. The disclosure further covers a process for packaging flat, pliable objects by forming the above-described package.

  • Publication number: 20070190125
Abstract: A film or strip product is provided with a positioning feature formed to aid a user in differentiating or distinguishing or otherwise identifying one or more features of the film or strip product. The positioning feature thus may be used to facilitate proper or desired use of the film product upon identification of a desired feature thereof. In one embodiment, the positioning feature is configured to aid in properly orienting and/or positioning and/or applying the film or strip product. The film or strip product may provide a therapeutic affect to a desired treatment site, and may require positional orientation before application to the treatment site, and/or positional orientation with respect to the treatment site. Various positioning features that may serve such function include visual or tactile features that either visually or tactilely indicate to a user sufficient information about the film product to permit the user to use and/or apply and/or orient the film product as desired or required.

  • Patent number: 7178674
Abstract: The invention relates to a container for storing and providing stacked film-like or sheet-like materials. The container is comprised of a pan, which accommodates the stacked materials and has a bottom and closed lateral walls joined thereto, and of a tightly sealing cover that at least partially encloses said pan. To this end, the cover is provided in the form of a slide cover. Both sides of the pan and of the slide cover are provided, parallel to their longitudinal direction, with parallel guide elements. All lateral walls of the pan have, up to the slide cover, a closed pan sealing surface that encircles the pan opening. The slide cover encompasses, at least in part or in areas, three lateral walls and the bottom or corresponding guide elements of the pan, whereby two of these lateral walls are oriented parallel to the longitudinal direction. A cover sealing surface is provided in the slide cover and rests upon the pan sealing surface when the container is closed.

  • Publication number: 20060222708
Abstract: The invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition in the form of a system in film form for transmucosal administration of steroid hormones. An administration system for steroid hormones which dissolves in the mouth and which releases with a high bioavailability is disclosed. The administration system in film form dissolves in the mouth preferably in a period of less than 30 min, and the steroid hormone entering the bloodstream transmucosally from the administration system leads to a rapid rise in the concentration in the blood. It is thus possible to achieve a maximum concentration of this steroid hormone in the blood in a period of less than 60 min after administration.

  • Patent number: 6776999
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for delaying the pylorus passage of orally administered medicament forms. Said device comprises a component which expands upon contact with the gastric juice and a polymer coat which is permeable to liquids but not to gases. The device can contain an active substance whose release into the gastric juice is mainly controlled by the medicament form into which it is incorporated. Unlike conventional medicament forms with delayed pylorus passage, the release of the active substance does not so much depend on the kind and structure of the polymer coat but is mainly determined by the incorporated medicament form. The inventive device can be easily rolled or folded and can be filled into capsules.
