  • Patent number: 9760655
Abstract: Systems and methods for identifying entities sharing a temporal pattern using bipartite graphs are described. In one embodiment, a method includes identifying a temporal pattern in a sequence of bipartite graphs for a sequence of records involving two entity types, where records of the sequence of bipartite graphs vary according to time. An embodiment may color code the edges between entity types in the sequence of bipartite graphs according to the at least one temporal pattern identified (e.g., increasing sales between a business representative and a customer). An embodiment may therefore identify a time-based relationship between at least two entities according to the coded edges. Given the identification of entities having a time-based relationships, groups of these entities may be identified and trends may be derived therefrom (e.g., increasing sales for business units of a particular geographic region).

  • Publication number: 20160125881
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide systems and methods for facilitating dictation. Speech input may be provided to an audio input device of a computing device. A speech recognition engine at the computing device may obtain text corresponding to the speech input. The computing device may transmit the text to a remotely-located storage device. A login webpage that includes a session identifier may be accessed from a target computing device also located remotely relative to the storage device. The session identifier may be transmitted to the storage device and, in response, a text display webpage may be received at the target computing device. The text display webpage may include the speech-derived text and may be configured to automatically copy the text to a copy buffer of the target computing device. The speech-derived text may also be provided to native applications at target computing devices or NLU engines for natural language processing.

  • Patent number: 7262984
Abstract: To store information in a ferroelectric material, a sample probe is used to bring about mechanical action on individual domains and thereby to cause a reversal of polarization in the individual domains, with electrodes situated below the ferroelectric material being able to have a bias applied to them to stabilize the change/reversal of polarization. The reversal of polarization causes an alteration in the surface topography of the ferroelectric material, and this alteration can be used to read the information. The stored information is therefore obtained by ascertaining the surface topography of the ferroelectric material. The information is written and read using an AFM tip, with the tip being able to be operated in contact or tapping mode for the purpose of writing, and additionally in noncontact mode for the purpose of reading.
