Each filament has a longitudinal axis and a cross-sectional area extending in a plane that is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. The cross-sectional area of an individual filament has a substantially non-circular shape. The plurality of filaments is arranged such that the cross-sectional area of the tuft has a scaled-up shape of the individual filament's cross-sectional area.
