  • Patent number: 8794148
Abstract: A printing press includes an assembly and a cam mechanism for moving at least one part of the assembly. A cam of the cam mechanism has a curvature course with points, in particular bends or jumps, which are not constantly differentiable within a movement region of the cam. The cam mechanism can include an actuator for the temporal displacement of jolts which are induced by the points that are not constantly differentiable to the at least one part of the assembly. An adaptation of the movement which is produced to the operating state of the printing press is possible, with the result that a considerable reduction can be achieved in vibrations for all printing speeds.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 23, 2009
Date of Patent: August 5, 2014
    Assignee: Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG
Inventors: Martin Baureis, Bernhard Buck, Siegfried Kurtzer, Stefan Mutschall, Henning Niggemann, Malte Seidler

  • Patent number: 6502815
Abstract: A lifting/pull-sucker drive mechanism for a separating element of a sheet-processing machine, having a drivable control cam for moving at least one lifting sucker, and having a drivable control cam for moving at least one pull sucker, respectively, includes a pivotable control cam for synchronizing a lifting movement of the at least one lifting sucker and a pulling movement of the at least one pull sucker.

  • Patent number: 5996490
Abstract: A positioning device for a printing press, having at least one guard adjustable within an adjustment range relative to an instantaneous pole axis in a first adjusting direction counter to gravity and in an opposed second adjusting direction, and having an energy storage for setting a variable support moment in opposition to a moment of weight resulting from the gravity and engaging with the guard, includes a control cam having a predetermined contour, a cam follower contacting the control cam for controlling the support moment by motion of the cam follower relative to the control cam, the contour of the control cam being such that the guard is in equilibrium at every location within the adjustment range under the influence of the support moment and a manual force of predetermined magnitude and direction which is associated with the respective location, the manual force, upon being adjusted in the first adjusting direction, counteracting the moment of weight in an initial section of the adjustment range.

  • Patent number: 5895037
Abstract: A drive transmission for a pull or forwarding sucker located in a suction head of a sheet feeder for translatorily driving a sucker-carrying support movable in a guide provided on a suction-head housing, the sucker-carrying support being connected articulatingly to at least one coupler swivelable about an axis extending transversely to the translatory motion of the sucker-carrying support, includes a first drive cam for moving the coupler and for effecting a forwarding motion, and a second drive cam for a roller lever mounted in the suction-head housing and being swivelably connected to the coupler, the second drive cam having a profile for leveling the translatory motion of the sucker-carrying support.
