  • Publication number: 20050183614
Abstract: A projectile head is provided for a training cartridge having a propulsion unit, with an integrated projectile tail section, which can be used equally for training cartridges as well as combat cartridges of the same caliber size, wherein the projectile tail section is connectable to the projectile head with the aid of an extension on the projectile tail section, the extension is insertable into a receptacle in the projectile head, and the extension contains a recessed area, open on the front, for receiving a warhead detonator. The projectile head has a receptacle in the projectile head for receiving the extension of the projectile tail section, and an end stop which extends into the receptacle. The end stop is for contacting a warhead detonator present on the projectile tail section during assembly of the propulsion unit and the projectile head to prevent the extension from reaching a fully assembled position in the receptacle.

  • Publication number: 20050178281
Abstract: In a method and device to generate a print image on a carrier material, a surface of a print carrier is coated with a layer which is one of ink-repelling and ink-attracting. In the structuring process, ink-attracting regions and ink-repelling regions are generated. Ink that adheres to the ink-attracting regions and that is not absorbed by the ink-repelling regions is applied on the surface. The applied ink is transferred onto the carrier material. Before a new structure process on the same surface of the print carrier, the surface is cleaned and recoated with said layer. Before the application of said layer, a wetting-aiding substance is applied with a molecular layer thickness. A surfactant with hydrophilic molecule sections is used as the wetting-aiding substance.

  • Patent number: 6907826
Abstract: A printer has a printing drum with recesses on the surface thereof into which ink is provided for printing. After printing, any remaining ink is removed at a cleaning station including immersion in a fluid, air jets, or an air suction. The cleaning station and the inking station operate simultaneously.

  • Publication number: 20050115446
Abstract: A case bottom is provided for use with a large-caliber ammunition cartridge. The case bottom has a bottom section; a cylindrical section connected to the bottom section; a guide region provided on an end of the cylindrical section opposite the bottom section; and a ring-shaped elastic obturation that projects from and is connected to the cylindrical section. An outside diameter of the guide region is such that it is for supporting itself directly on an inside wall of a loading chamber for a respective weapon barrel following loading of the cartridge.

  • Patent number: 6876833
Abstract: A device for cleaning an image carrier of residuals of an ink image, in which for inking the latent image on a latent image carrier, droplets are transferred from a liquid layer onto the surface of the latent image carrier by overcoming an air gap. The cleaning device is arranged at the circumference of the image carrier and removing the residual ink remaining after transfer of the image inked with a liquid ink is removed from the surface of the image carrier.

  • Patent number: 6799009
Abstract: There is described an applicator element for providing a layer of a liquid ink, in particular for inking a latent image carrier of a device for electrographic printing or copying, the surface of the applicator element having a structure with a plurality of areas at which the detachment of droplets from the liquid layer is facilitated.

  • Publication number: 20040084330
Abstract: A packing case (1) for a large-caliber cartridge (2), having a thin-walled cartridge case (3) and a projectile (4), which protrudes at least partially out of the front of the cartridge casing (3), and has at its outer circumference an annular stop groove (5), with the packing case (1) including an outer case (6) and an inner case (7) that comprises at least two partial cases disposed one behind the other. To enable the cartridge to be easily secured in the packing case and subsequently removed, at least two spring-loaded stop elements (19) that can pivot toward the projectile (4) and have guide elements (21) are provided. The stop elements extend with a form-fit into the stop groove (5) of the projectile (4) and are supported at the rear against a partial case (11) of the inner case (7).

  • Publication number: 20030175048
Abstract: A device for electrographic printing or copying has an applicator element (26, 26a), which supports a layer (48, 72) of the ink. An air gap (L) is provided between the liquid layer (48, 72) and the surface of the latent image support (12), said surface being located opposite the liquid layer. In order to ink the latent image on the latent image support (12), droplets (50) are transferred from the liquid layer (48, 72) to the surface of the latent image support (12) while passing through the air gap (L). An alternating field of force (an electric or acoustic alternating field), which acts upon the liquid layer, is provided in the air gap.

  • Patent number: 4553386
Abstract: A turbine engine for powering aircraft, land vehicles and the like having a stationary member inclusive of casing portions defining a plurality of radially extending, spaced combustion chambers. A rotary member within the stationary member has two or more axially spaced turbine wheels mounted on a rotary shaft with the turbine wheels within the casing portions and arranged with turbine blades that receive exhaust gases from the chamber directed through vanes at a particular angle to enhance the thrust on the two turbine wheels. An impeller on the rotary shaft draws air along the axis of the shaft, out in a radial direction around the chambers, through minute openings in a manifold section, and back in a radial direction to disburse the air into the combustion chambers for burning of a fuel-air mixture therein to produce the exhaust gases.
