  • Publication number: 20240164703
Abstract: Various methods and systems are provided for a sepsis alert engine for sepsis detection. In one example, a computing device comprising a display screen displays a menu listing one or more electronic medical records (EMRs) of one or more patients, and additionally is configured to display a sepsis alert graphical user interface (GUI) accessible from the menu while the one or more EMR systems are in an un-launched state. The sepsis alert GUI displays a sepsis level element identifying a sepsis level for each patient displayed as well as a limited list of criteria that triggered the identified sepsis level. The limited list of criteria is obtained from the one or more EMRs and each criterion in the limited list is selectable to launch a pop-up UI with additional information relating to the identified sepsis level.

  • Patent number: 11911761
Abstract: Spherical grains and sacrificial particles are mixed in a suspension. The sacrificial particles are larger than the spherical grains. The suspension is injected into a channel in a microfluidic chip, and the spherical grains form microporous structures in the channel. The microporous structures are sintered in the channel. A solvent is injected into the channel, and the solvent dissolves the sacrificial particles and forms macropores between at least some of the microporous structures, thereby forming a mixed-porosity microfluidic chip.

  • Publication number: 20230070292
Abstract: A rinse-off hair treatment product with a multi-chamber tube package that can contain a dual-phase rinse-off hair treatment composition that can provide a warming sensation and hair conditioning. The multi-chamber tube package can be a tube-in-tube package with an outer tube with an outer chamber that contains a conditioning composition and an inner tube with an inner chamber that contains a warming composition. The inner chamber is fluidly connected to one or more central orifices by an inner nozzle channel and the outer channel is fluidly connected to one or more outer orifices by an outer channel. The ratio of the area of the central orifice(s) to the outer orifice(s) can be greater than 1. The ratios can help the product dispense as a single stream with two visible phases, which has been found to prompt the consumer to intuitively mix the composition, thereby activating a warming sensation.

  • Patent number: 7742411
Abstract: A technique for managing traffic within a network processor integrated circuit (IC) involves establishing multiple queue groups, associating a different hardware counter with each queue group, and then using the hardware counters to support rate shaping and scheduling of all of the queues in the queue groups. For example, 512 queue groups of thirty-two queues each queue group are established for a total of 16,384 (16 k) different queues and a different hardware counter is associated with each queue group for a total of 512 hardware counters. The group-specific hardware counters are used to implement hardware-based rate shaping and scheduling of all 16 k queues in a resource efficient manner that supports high throughput, e.g., on the order of 40 Gbps.

  • Publication number: 20070262132
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses provide voltage regulation for a processor. Control or configuration parameters for a voltage regulator (VR) are provided digitally over a configuration bus to a VR controller. The parameters may be provided directly from a storage element, or via a processing element or processor core. Based in whole or in part on the parameters, the VR controller provides an output control signal to affect a power output from a power converter to the processing element. In one embodiment, the VR controller is integrated onto the same IC as the processing element.

  • Patent number: 7190973
Abstract: A method is disclosed for adapting base station equipment at a sectorized cell site to relieve high call blocking rates in a first heavily utilized sector. The method includes selecting a TCB cabinet corresponding to a second more sparsely utilized sector and placing first sector transceivers in a first set of designated slots of the TCB cabinet and second sector. A split receive (uplink) signal path within the second sector TCB cabinet is achieved by substituting a four input port combiner card for a conventional two input port combiner card. First and second sector receive signals are respectively directed to first and second input port pairs of the combiner card and are separately routed by the TCB cabinet backplane circuitry to the first and second sector transceivers. The foregoing method allows the cell site owner to add needed transceivers to the heavily-utilized sector without purchasing and installing a new base station.

  • Patent number: 7180641
Abstract: A combination of an optical module and a transmitting and carrying structure includes an optical module, at least one carrying seat, and two rollers. The at least one carrying seat is combined with the optical module, for mounting the two rollers. The two rollers are located at the two opposite sides of the optical module. The two opposite sides of the optical module are perpendicular to the movement direction of the optical module. Thus, the at least one carrying seat and the two rollers are used to support and transmit the optical module, so that the optical module may be well balanced. In addition, the assembly height and the cost of fabrication are reduced.
