Abstract: A coupling assembly particularly for connecting sections of plastic pipe comprises a sleeve and a clamp assembly. The sleeve has internal seals for providing a seal between the sleeve and pipe sections inserted into the sleeve. The clamp assembly comprises two identical clamp members, each generally arcuate in shape, adapted to fit in opposing relationship and formed for connection to each other. The clamp members are each formed with a serrated inner surface to bite into the outer surface of the adjoining pipe section. The coupling assembly may be easily and quickly installed without special tools or equipment and is especially useful for the field repair of damaged pipe sections.
