The unbonded, flexible pipe comprises at least one stiffened length section comprising a stiffening cover partially or totally surrounding the outer sealing sheath in the stiffened length section. The stiffening cover comprises a layer of a stiffening material having a flexural modulus which is higher than the flexural modulus of the sealing material, wherein the flexural modulus is determined according to ISO 178.
