  • Patent number: 11627871
Abstract: A medical-endoscopic instrument includes a distal elongate insertion section (1), for the minimal-invasive introduction into a human or animal body, with a first LED (5), a second LED (7) and a picture sensor (9). The first LED includes a first light spectrum (19), suitable for fluorescence endoscopy. The second LED includes a second light spectrum (21), suitable for white light endoscopy. A light filter (23), arranged in front of the second LED in the viewing direction (x), has a transmission spectrum (25). The second LED is configured to irradiate according to the second light spectrum on average more intensively in a first wavelength region (K) than in a second wavelength region (L). The light filter is configured to let through light, which is emitted by the second LED, according to the transmission spectrum, on average less in the second wavelength region than in the first wavelength region.

  • Publication number: 20120130162
Abstract: An endoscope system has imaging optics and includes at least one adjustable optical element. A working instrument is positionable relative to the imaging optics. A displacement measuring device is designed for detecting a distance covered by the working instrument with its positioning. A control device adjusts the optical element in dependence on a detected displacement.

  • Publication number: 20110082334
Abstract: The endoscopic instrument has at least one component that heats up during the operation of the instrument and is equipped with means for automatically registering the use or non-use state of the instrument. The instrument has a control, which actuates the at least one component in a power-reduced fashion or switches off the at least one component during the non-use of the instrument, and which actuates the component with the power provided for the use or switches on the component during the use of the instrument.

  • Patent number: 7319478
Abstract: A solid-state video camera is equipped with pixel addition logic such that, if the measured object brightness falls below a certain threshold value, a brightening of the image is effected without increasing the noise component accepting a loss in real-time representation. The pixel addition by way of the pixel addition logic is coupled to the gain control of the camera in a manner such that, in each case, the gain control compensates for jumps in brightness which arise by way of the pixel addition and creates for the user a flowing transition without noticeable jumps in brightness.

  • Publication number: 20050219376
Abstract: A more effective larynx or vocal fold examination is facilitated when an image recording device, preferably a color image recording device comprising three modes is made available, a face-recording recording mode with a low recording frequency or image repetition frequency, respectively, but with a high resolution, a further face-recording recording mode with a higher image repetition frequency but with a lower resolution, and a one-dimensional, for example, row-recording mode also having a higher image repetition frequency. By the switchability of the image recording device between those modes the examining doctor is capable of first getting an overview by means of the slower image recording mode, wherein this may also be done in color, as due to the slower recording frequency this mode is not subject to the illumination problems like the high-speed camera.

  • Patent number: 6092722
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and apparatus for the automatic identification of components of medical apparatus systems, in particular, components of endoscopy systems. There is provided a unit which is separate from at least one of the components (30a, 30b) to be identified, this unit includes a write-read head. This unit may for example be one of the system components such as a camera head (18) in a video endoscope system. Each component to be identified includes a writable and readable data carrier which stores data signals indicating component parameters. Contents of the data carrier can be read in by transmission of the data to the write-read head from the separate unit and may here be registered and where appropriate, activate control and/or regulation procedures.

  • Patent number: 5930424
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for connecting a fiber optic cable to the fiber optic connection of an endoscope. An end section of the optical fiber is mounted as a bundle of fibers in a housing part and a coupling part is provided for the fastening with a positive fit of this housing part to the fiber optic connection on the endoscope side. To ensure that the optical fiber ends always come into contact with one another free of play and to improve the cleaning access, the coupling part is arranged on the housing part axially displaceable against a spring force in the direction of the fiber optic connection on the endoscope side.
