One aspect is a method of conveying a quality of a furnishing with an e-commerce system, the method comprising presenting with the e-commerce system a listing for a furnishing including a scene with an image of the furnishing, the image of the furnishing having a depth value corresponding to a location of the image of the furnishing in the scene, receiving an audio playback request, and presenting in response to the audio playback request an audio recording of an interaction with the furnishing, wherein the audio recording is indicative of a material composition of the furnishing and the audio recording includes a sound effect based on the depth value.

Abstract: A computerized method comprising acquiring an image of a physical environment comprising one or more physical entities, generating a virtual view based on the acquired image, and displaying the virtual view overlaid on the acquired image. The method further comprises receiving user input being indicative of a placement location within the virtual view, and receiving user input for creating a virtual bounding volume within the virtual view. The method further comprises manipulating the virtual bounding volume based on one or more intersections in 3D space between the virtual bounding volume and 3D data corresponding to the one or more physical entities, displaying the manipulated virtual bounding volume, and displaying at least one 3D object model that fits the manipulated virtual bounding volume.

One aspect is A method for presenting virtual price tags, the method comprising identifying a product visible in a scene, retrieving price data for the product, identifying visible surfaces of the product from a current view of the scene, determining a predetermined point on one of the visible surfaces based on the current view of the scene, and generating, on a display of a computing device, a virtual price tag attached to an image of the product at the predetermined point, the virtual price tag displaying the price data for the product.

Abstract: A system for connecting users to a same instance of a persistent augmented reality environment is provided. The system (10) comprises: a server (20) managing the persistent AR environment; and a first and second device (31, 32) connected to the server (20) and configured for displaying different instances of the persistent AR environment, each device (31, 32) being configured to transmit to the server (20) data indicating a position of the device and angular orientation of a front, top, camera or antenna of the device; wherein the server (20) is configured to detect whether a front, top, camera or antenna of the first and second device (31, 32) are oriented towards each other and if so, to sync the persistent AR environments of the first and second device (31, 32) with each other to connect to a same instance of the persistent AR environment.
