  • Publication number: 20020144480
Abstract: A building panel that comprises at least two panel domains, wherein each panel domain has an essentially homogeneous compressive strength and an average compressive strength and wherein at least two panel domains differ in average compressive strength, is useful for inserting into cavities having a variety of shapes, sizes, and obstacles therein.
    Type: Application
    Filed: January 3, 2002
    Publication date: October 10, 2002
Inventors: Alain M. Sagnard, Martin F. Reimers
  • Publication number: 20020088193
Abstract: Foams made from a ternary blend of a alkenyl aromatic polymer such as polystyrene, an &agr;-olefin polymer such as polyethylene, and a compatibilizer, are used as acoustical insulation in building constructions. These foams exhibit an unusual combination of low creep and low dynamic stiffness. They are especially useful in floating floor installations.
