  • Publication number: 20040176886
Abstract: A method and a device (10) for consistent bidirectional analysis of engine characteristics map data in an engine characteristics map are described. The engine characteristics map data represents interlinked technical variables. In this method, first a characteristic curve representing the interdependence of two of the technical variables is determined. This characteristic curve forms the basis for additional conversions in bidirectional analysis of the particular engine characteristics map.

  • Publication number: 20020152684
Abstract: The invention concerns a control of the movement of a sliding or swinging and sliding door (1) in its end closing area (X), wherein by means of a free wheel (8) or the like the movement of the door leaf (2) in the closing direction is possible always, but the movement in the opening direction is possible only when a brake, coupling (9) or other fixation for the part of the free wheel remote from the door leaf is lifted, and wherein a device for determining the door position is present.

  • Publication number: 20010013200
Abstract: A sliding door arrangement with at least one door leaf mounted in a door frame includes a drive for moving the at least one door leaf. The at least one door leaf has a lateral closing edge and a running surface at the lateral closing edge. The door frame has a counter-support surface, wherein, in a closed position of the at least one door leaf, the running surface is located essentially immediately below the counter-support surface and the counter-support surface rests on the running surface for preventing lifting of the door leaf.

  • Patent number: 6237498
Abstract: An inflator, more particularly for a vehicle occupant restraint system, has a tubular inflator housing which is closed off at its end faces and has radial exit ports via which the gas is able to exit the inflator. The inflator housing has in its interior at least one combustion chamber packed with propellant, at least one ignition unit for igniting the propellant in the combustion chamber and at least one filter which is located upstream of the exit ports. A filter insert featuring an outer housing is provided, the outer housing having a plurality of housing parts which at least partly surround the filter disposed in the filter insert. The outer housing together with its housing parts is radially secured to the inflator housing without the provision of an axial stop.

  • Patent number: 6196583
Abstract: The present invention relates to an inflator for a safety device, in particular for a vehicle occupant restraint system, comprising a housing (1, 15; 22, 23), a combustion chamber formed in the housing and including a solid propellant (6) for generating hot gas, and a coolant (13) introduced into a predetermined flow path of the hot gas. The inflator in accordance with the invention is characterized in that the flow path of the hot gas passes through a nozzle (10) comprising a pitot zone (20) in which the hot gas emerging from the combustion chamber (21) has a high static pressure, and comprising a nozzle neck (19) in which the hot gas builds up a high dynamic pressure, and in that the coolant (13) is arranged in a sleeve-shaped reservoir (11) extending from the pitot zone (20) at least in part into the nozzle neck (19). The inflator in accordance with the invention permits an effective reduction in the exhaust gas temperature of the generated hot gas.

  • Patent number: 6189265
Abstract: A one-leaf or two-leaf sliding door, swinging/sliding door or pocket door, particularly for vehicles, has an electric, pneumatic or hydraulic drive. A nut is attached to the at least one door leaf and a spindle extends through the nut. A drive for moving the at least one door leaf is provided either to rotate the spindle directly or to linearly move the at least one door leaf. A freewheel is mounted on an end of the spindle, wherein the freewheel has a component which is stationary relative to but capable of rotating together with the spindle. A releasable brake or clutch is provided for preventing rotation of the freewheel component.

  • Patent number: 4854223
Abstract: The invention is directed to a penumatic or hydraulic drive for opening and closing of doors, in which the linear motion of a double-acting piston 5 driven by a pressure medium is converted into a rotary motion of a spindle 2 through a piston rod 6 and a helical gear box 3. Herein a blocking lever 10 supported in a stationary manner is provided, which in the closed position of the door engages under the action of a spring 18 at a part 11 connected with a piston 5, wherein said blocking lever secures the piston in its end position and is held in its open position counter to the force of an additional spring 15 by a power cylinder 14 acted upon by the pressure means.

  • Patent number: 4813293
Abstract: Rotary drive, particularly for vehicle doors, in which the piston motion of a piston-power cylinder-unit 5 is converted into a rotary motion by means of roller pairs 14 which engage into oblique slots 10, 11. The oblique slots are provided in cylinders 4, 6 arranged coaxially inside each other and one of the cylinders is connected to the power output shaft 7. The slots exhibit an axial direction at their ends. Herein the cover 2 of a pot-shaped housing 1, through which cover the power output shaft 7 passes, exhibits a collar 15 projecting outwards and embracing the power output shaft. The power output shaft 7 is provided with a cup-type seal 17 seated firmly upon it, whose surface contour 18 overlaps outwardly the collar 15 and which with its edge 19 rests tightly at the cover 2. The cover is provided with an axially oriented groove 20 on its side facing away from the collar, into which groove the edge of the pot-shaped housing 1 is tightly fitted.
