Patent number: 6360373Abstract: A protective glove having removable outer layers comprises an substantially contaminant free inner glove having at least one outer layer and a method of use thereof. The outer layer has a shape of the glove and is frangibly fused to a selected side of the inner glove. The outer layer material has a lower melt temperature than the inner glove material and can be easily peeled from the inner glove immediately prior to a use requiring the glove to be substantially contaminant free. C. above the melting point of the polymer, passing the melt through a filter pack having a filtering area of at least about 8 in.sup.2 and a total volume of at least about 1.2 in.sup.3 per pound of polymer extruded per hour, and containing inert, irregularly shaped particles having a mesh size of about 25 to 140 to provide a pressure drop at least about 800 psig., extruding the melt through spinning openings of desired shape to form filaments and passing the filaments immediately upon extrusion through a heating zone maintained at a temperature of about 200.degree. to 320.degree. Patent number: 4755336Abstract: A process is provided wherein a polymer blend of a poly(butylene terephthalate) and about 5 to 25% by weight of poly(ethylene terephthalate) is melt spun to form a fiber or yarn which is then drawn at an elevated temperature resulting in the poly(butylene terephthalate) having a stable beta crystal form in relaxed condition. Patent number: 4605573Abstract: Finish liquid is applied to a bundle of running filamentary material by running the bundle of filamentary material in monolayer form through a passage and conducting finish liquid under pressure through at least two side-by-side capillaries each having a diameter less than 0.06 inches. The finish liquid is discharged through outlet ends of the capillaries and onto the running monolayer of filamentary material. Preferably, the capillaries are separated by a divider wall which terminates short of the outlet ends of the capillaries, whereby those outlet ends define a slot through which the finish liquid is discharged.
