    Abstract: The sling for a rifle or shotgun, which allows the firearm to be retained suspended from the shoulder without sliding off while the associated arm and hand are otherwise engaged. An auxiliary strap assembly may be secured to form a stabilizing, neck-encircling loop, and stored out of the way flatly against the main sling when not in use.
