  • Patent number: 6309506
Abstract: Flexible surface structures (21, 22, 27) are often glued to one another with the application of pressure and heat. Known laminating devices for this purpose are limited in their efficiency. If greater laminating efficiency is to be achieved, an existing laminating device has to be exchanged for a more powerful laminating device. The invention proposes a laminating device constructed in modular fashion and having a plurality of successive laminating stations (12, 14). In this way, the laminating efficiency can be increased by adding new laminating stations (12, 14) to already existing laminating stations (12, 14) which thus do not need to be replaced. In addition, it is proposed that a drying station (17) be provided between successive laminating stations (12, 14), in which drying station the surface structures (21, 22) laminated in the first laminating station (12) are dried before they are joined with a further surface structure (27) in the succeeding second laminating station (14).

  • Patent number: 4519222
Abstract: Smoothing washed garments (10) in the treatment chamber (11) of a finisher produces a considerable amount of fluff. To remove the fluff from the device in a trouble-free and effective manner the flowing medium carrying the fluff along is passed through a sieve belt (20) which conveys the fluff out of the device. Outside the treatment chamber (11) the fluff is removed in a suitable manner.

  • Patent number: 4325324
Abstract: An apparatus for stiffening textile pieces 10 by coating them with plastic includes a printing or coating cylinder 16 and underlying pressure roller 18, and a subsequent tunnel dryer 42. The pieces are fed through the printing and drying stations by separate conveyor belt mechanisms 13, 14, 15 longitudinally movable away from the printing station to enable easy access thereto for cleaning and servicing.

  • Patent number: 3961733
Abstract: A device is disclosed for pressing articles of clothing, more particularly for pressing the body portions of shirts and work uniforms, wherein an inflatable, molded buck is mounted on a support, and the assembly is movable into a position between a pair of heated pressing plates. Movable supporting and spreading elements are attached to the support and located within the inflatable buck, the supporting and spreading elements being movable to ensure that the inflatable buck fully supports the article to be pressed in the area of the shoulders and side portions of the article. After the movable supporting and spreading elements are adjusted, the buck is inflated so as to ensure that all portions of the article to be pressed are, in fact, pressed by the heated pressing plates.
