  • Publication number: 20170073248
Abstract: The present invention concerns a method for the removal of radionuclides from water, wherein at least one absorption additive that has an absorptive effect on the nuclides and at least one filter device that is impermeable to the adsorption additive and the nuclides absorbed thereon are used. An improved removal rate is achieved with reduced equipment expenditure when an adsorption layer is formed from the adsorption additive on an inflow-side surface of the respective filter device.

  • Publication number: 20140353256
Abstract: A multi-barrier system for cleaning waste water, in particular for the removal of pathogenic microbes from waste water, and a method for the removal of pathogenic microbes from waste water with the multi-barrier system. The multi-barrier system includes an enclosed containment that comprises a first water container, an adjustable ozonation unit, a second water container and a UV unit. In addition, the first water container comprises an ozone-resistant filtration unit.

  • Publication number: 20140251907
Abstract: A method of obtaining industrial water or drinking water from water that contains radioactive nuclides, in radium-containing groundwater including chemically pretreating the radioactive nuclide-containing water, and filtering the chemically pretreated water, wherein, in the chemical pretreatment, manganese dioxide is added to the water and/or manganese dioxide is generated in situ in the water and wherein filtration of the chemically pretreated water proceeds using at least one ceramic filter membrane.
